Anna Bhagya Yojana
The Governament launched its much-awaited ambitious programme called ANNA BHAGYA YOJANA to supply Food Grains at free of cost to Priority Household (AAY+BPL) families across the State.

108.98 Lakh Beneficiaries :
A total of 108.98 lakh Priority Households will be eligible to receive free Food Grains through a network of 20,778 Fair Price Shops across the State from May 2015.

Public Distribution System :
Government of India allots rice, wheat, sugar and kerosene to Government of Karnataka every month. The allotment is based on the number of ration cards.
The objectives of the Public Distribution System are :
** To protect the low income groups by guaranteeing them supply of certain minimum quantities of food grains at affordable price.
** Ensuring equitable distribution.
** Controlling the price rise of Essential Commodities in the open market.

Essential Commodities are distributed through Fair Price Shops to ensure that the basic food requirement of the population is met on the one hand and food security to the poor on the other. Food grains are issued to the poor and vulnerable sections of the society at affordable prices.
Sir, applied for new Ration Card. But not yet received any reply. My Ack. No. is 401541104. In the Status, shows not submitted. Please let me know should I apply again for new ration card.

We have a APL card of Bangalore but now we are not in that residential address which is mentioned in the APL card. So how to renew that or transfer that to our current residential address?
