Bharathiar University Alumni Registration
The Bharathiar University Alumni Association has been formally inaugurated on 22nd Oct. 2001 by the then Vice-Chancellor, Rev.Fr.Dr.Ignacimuthu.

The long cherished desire of the students to come back to their Alma matter has been achieved. In an era of networking and collaboration, it is the alumni support, which is definitely a value addition for any institution destined to move towards excellence.Thus, the inauguration was a tremendous success. The first meeting had more than 120 alumni from various disciplines. Subsequently it was decided to meet every quarter. The annual meet has been planned for October/December. So far 3 meetings at various levels were held, the alumni keep on posting information about variety of issues. It is a nice thing to hear from the alumni about the institution when they have gone out of it. The third alumni day celebration is planned during December 2003.
The alumni have achieved several distinctions. But many of them do not inform us, these distinctions. A few from the campus have got PDF, and three in science faculty have got distinguished fellowships in U.K. and USA. The Placement rate (75%) in the School of Management is encouraging. The demand for the Computer Science and Engineering is increasing though the general trend is otherwise. The students who have passed their NET/SLET is another encouraging factor. Recently, an alumnus has won the slot among the best 15 business plan presentations at Singapore. He is a finalist. Similarly, in all the faculties alumni have excelled in various forms.
This year the Alumni day celebrations are planned along new eve celebrations. You’re welcome to transmit your views and ideas to improve and function effectively.
