Deepam Scheme :
Government of Andhra Pradesh is providing LPG connections to women of BPL families to reduce dependence on forest for fire wood, improve their health status, remove drudgery due to conventional cooking and improve the general environment of the State.

The State Government is paying the security deposit of Public Sector Oil Companies viz., Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPC), Bharath Petroleum Corporation (BPC) and Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) for release of LPG connection on behalf of the beneficiaries selected under this scheme.
In the rural areas ,this scheme launched in July,1999 and in urban areas since February,2000. The following are the rate of security deposits for release of LPG connections from 1999.

Gender miss match with this Aadhar Number
This Message is displayed when the gender in Ration Card is not matched with the gender in the adhaar .
How to handle : Send such cases to DSO and provision will be given to change the gender in Ration Card .
2. No Option for Selecting beneficiary for Tick Marking
The reasons for this alert is :
** If atleast one family member is having LPG connection
** Not Female
** Not a BPL card
** If Adhaar is not synced with ration card .This can be updated in the ePDS site
3. Not Eligible for the Deepam Scheme
Eligibility criteria may be checked in the Home Page of the site epdsap.ap.gov.in/Deepam/
4. This card not in this Office
The Ration Card is not under the concerned jurisdiction.For more details Check online ration card search in the site epdsap.ap.gov.in
5. Invalid Ration Card Number
The given ration card is not valid.
6. Double Entry
Application is already entered with the given ration card no .
7. While verifying the Applications approval button is not displayed .Why?
When the aadhaar id of the beneficiary for whom the gas connection is applied is not matched with adhaar no of any of the member in the ration card then provision for Approval will be disabled.
