Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs(FCSCA) :
The Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Government of Karnataka enforces The Essential Commodities Act 1955 and various Control Orders issued thereunder to ensure proper control of the supply and distribution of, and trade and commerce in, certain commodities. The Department also administers the Targeted Public Distribution System which is an important constituent of the strategy for food security to the population Below Poverty Line.
Additional Simplified Procedure
To apply for AHARA Karnataka Issue of Licence, you can either apply online or offline.
Here are the steps on how to apply online:
1. Visit the official AHARA Karnataka website https://ahara.kar.nic.in/
2. Click on “e-Services”.
3. Click on “Issue of Licence”.
4. Select the type of licence you want to apply for.
5. Click on “Apply Now”.
6. Enter the required details and upload the scanned copies of your documents.
7. Pay the application fee online.
8. Your application will be processed and you will be notified about the next steps.
Here are the documents required for applying for an AHARA Karnataka Issue of Licence:
** A passport-size photograph
** A recent signature
** A copy of your Aadhaar card or any other valid ID proof
** A copy of your address proof
** A copy of your educational qualification certificate
** A trade license from the local authority
** A security deposit of INR 500 for a wholesale dealer’s licence and INR 250 for a retail dealer’s licence
The application fee for an AHARA Karnataka Issue of Licence is as follows:
** Wholesale Dealer’s Licence: INR 1000
** Commission Agent’s Licence: INR 500
** Producer’s Licence: INR 250
** Retail Dealer’s Licence: INR 100
If you are applying for a duplicate licence, you will need to submit the following documents:
** A copy of your lost/damaged licence
** A police report in case of lost licence
** A passport-size photograph
** A recent signature
Note:
The application fee for a duplicate licence is INR 50.
