What is KOMPAS?

Kerala Online Mining Permit Awarding Services (KOMPAS) is the e-Governance initiative of the Department of Mining and Geology for bringing efficiency and transparency to mineral administration in the State.

KOMPAS ensures citizen centric, cost effective, and quality electronic service delivery pertaining to mines and minerals in the State.


In the initial phase of implementation of KOMPAS, stakeholders can avail following services
:
1) Submission of online application for mineral movement permits
2) e-payment of application fee, royalty and other payments
3) Online tracking of status of processing of applications
4) Online generation of ePass
5) Online filing of returns.
6) Dashboard for stakeholders including Lease / Permit holders.

The KOMPAS ensures transparency, by providing statistics of mineral concessions in the State, particulars of mineral concessions and documents submitted for availing concessions, locations of working mines, quarries, crushers and dealers, information on mineral availability, to public. KOMPAS also provides information pertaining to genuineness of ePass, permits/licenses to other regulatory agencies like Police, Land Revenue authorities of the State. A Google map based service provides location-specific information about the mining entities, quarries, and related information to public and other stakeholders.

Although the data available in KOMPAS web portal have been produced and processed from sources believed to be reliable, no warranty expressed or implied is made regarding accuracy, adequacy, completeness, legality, reliability or usefulness of any information.

This disclaimer applies to both isolated and aggregate uses of the information. The Department Mining and Geology provide this information on an “AS IS” basis.

Payment Option

This site has been integrated with eTreasury portal of Department of Treasuries, Government of Kerala and all payments made to KOMPAS will be as per the guidelines issued by Department of Treasuries.

SMS will be sent to your registered mobile number at different stages of processing of your application. In case of a failed transaction the user shall have no right to claim the amount. The loss on this account shall not be borne either by Government or by the Banks /Payment Gateways.

Department of Mining and Geology, under the Administrative control of Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Kerala, is the nodal State Government Department administrating, regulating and controlling the mineral development and related sustainable mining and geological activities in Kerala.
