( The customer can avail Mobile Banking on any Mobile Phone with valid connection from a service provider. However for enjoying all the services offered through Mobile Banking, a handset with added features is essential.)
Who can Register :
** All SB and CA holders with mode of operation as Single or Sole Proprietorship, either or survivor or anyone or survivor
** Joint accounts and accounts in which minors are involved are not eligible for FedMobile registration
How to Register :
You can avail Mobile Banking facility in either of two ways :
** If your handset is GPRS enabled, you can click the link mobile.federalbank.co.in/gprs for Mobile Banking through GPRS.
** Alternatively you can use the link from your mobile mobile.federalbank.co.in/j2me/ to download the Mobile banking application into your mobile.
Customers can receive the link as SMS by sending a message FEDMOBILE to 9895088888 or 5676762.
Steps for Registration :
** Registration is easy. Submit the FedMobile application form at your branch. The application form can be obtained from the branch or can be downloaded from the Forms & Stationery page
** The completed application form shall be submitted to your branch for registration. The Registration will be done centrally and PIN mailer containing user id and MPIN will be sent to the account holder’s communication address by post.
** You can access the facility after obtaining User ID and MPIN
** Transfer up to Rs. 50000/- with a monthly cap of Rs. 200,000/-, is permissible however, transfer to Loan account/RD account is not permissible
Technology in Use
SMS
** It works on the “Text Messaging Facility” also called the SMS that is available on mobile phones.
** This facility allows you to send short text messages to 5676762 or +919895088888 from your mobile phone instead of making a phone call
** The response is sent to you as an SMS message, all in the matter of few seconds.
SMS Pull :
enquiry enables the bank’s mobile banking register to check his/ her account balance or last few transactions for his/ her account(s) by just sending a message to 919895088888 or bank’s short code 5676762( Domestic customers only – Premium SMS charges applicable).
For balance enquiry in you account :
Format : BAL<space><Account Nickname> to 919895088888 or 5676762 (Premium SMS charges applicable)
<Account Nickname> = SB+<Your Account Number>
<Account Nickname> = CD+<Your Account Number> etc..
