About PayOnline:
** PayOnline is one of the key initiatives under Digital India, the Government of Inida’s flagship program aimed at transforming India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.
** PayOnline provides On Demand Governance and Services as per the vision of Digital India Initiative and aims at electronic and cashless financial transactions.
** PayOnline is an online payment platform to pay government taxes, bills and fees online. An Electronic Receipt portal, PayOnline is secure and easy to use.
** The portal is fully compatible with smart mobile or tablet, so a citizen can pay using own mobile or tablet as well.
** PayOnline is the comprehensive platform for all government payments – inter-ministerial, vendor transactions or small payments by citizens of India for government services – to be made electronically.

Refunds:

** To initiate the process of refund you need to have all the information related to your payment. Once you have all the information with you, you have to contact the agency you paid to request a refund. PayOnline cannot issue refunds.
** The receipt for the payment made contains all the information needed by the agency to process the refund.
** If you don’t have the receipt with you then to obtain information related to payment, please first login to the portal and go to My Account /My Payments section.
** You can find your payment history and all related information there itself. Once you get the same, you can contact the agency for the refund.
** In case you paid the amount to any agency without login into the account then you can get the payment related information by contacting PayOnline Customer Service by providing following information: Name of the agency paid, the date and the amount.
** The customer service will help to get the payment information. Once you get the information, you can contact the agency to request a refund.

Warning:
** Citizens are being targeted by fraudsters using emails to ask citizens to enter their security details into a fake website. So please ensure the following before logging in. URL address on the address bar of your internet browser should begin with “https”; the letter ‘s’ at the end of “https” means ‘secured’.

** You should verify the security certificate by clicking on the padlock. The address bar has turned to green indicating that the site is secured with an SSL Certificate that meets the Extended Validation Standard. (This is available in IE 7.0 and above, Mozilla Firefox 3.1 and above, Opera 9.5 and above, Safari 3.5 and above, Google chrome).

** Do not enter login or other sensitive information in any pop up window. Phishing is a fraudulent attempt, usually made through email, phone calls, SMS etc seeking your personal and confidential information. PayOnline or any of its representatives never send you email/SMS or calls you over phone to get your personal information, password or one time SMS (high security) password.

** Any such e-mail/SMS or phone call is an attempt to fraudulently doing any illegal activity in your account through Internet Banking. Never respond to such email/SMS or phone call. Please report immediately on support[at]payonline[dot]gov[dot]in if you receive any such email/SMS or Phone call. You must immediately change your passwords if you have accidentally revealed your credentials.
