National Customer Preference Registry :

As per TRAI’s Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2010, the National Do Not Call Registry (NDNC) has been replaced by National Customer Preference Registry (NCPR).

The primary objective of NCPR is to ensure that consumers do not get commercial communications of promotional nature unless specifically opted for. Consumer can now register to NCPR as a “fully blocked (All calls and sms from telemarketers will be blocked) “ or Partially Blocked ( All calls blocked and SMS allowed on selected preferences)

Consumer may choose from following preferences for partially blocked category:
** For Banking, Insurance, Financial products and credit cards
** for Real Estate
** For Education
** For Health
** for Consumer goods and automobiles
** for Communication, Broadcasting, Entertainment and IT
** for Tourism and Leisure

A. Registration Process :
By SMS (Toll Free)
Partially Blocked Registration: Type <START> <preference number> and send to 1909
For e.g.:
For Single Preference: if you want to receive SMS on Banking then send type <START> 1 to 1909.
For multiple preferences: If you want to receive SMS on Real Estate, Education and Health then send type <START> 2,3,4 to 1909
Fully Blocked Registration: Type <START> 0 and send to 1909
By Call (Toll Free)
You may dial 1909 from your AIRCEL mobile to register.

B. Change of preference :
Please note that you may change your preference only after 7 days from the date of registration or from the date of last change of your preference.
By SMS (toll free)

1. Stop Earlier preferences and Add New Preferences:
To stop your earlier preferences type <STOP> <preference number> send to 1909 and to add new preferences type <START> <preference number> send to 1909.
For eg. : If you are registered in partially blocked category having preferences as 2 (Real Estate) and 3 (Education) and wants to opt out of 2 and add 4 (Health) then you may send following SMS:
<STOP> 2 for opting out from SMS relating to Real Estate and
<START> 4 for opting to receive SMS relating to Health
Please note that both the SMSs should go with in 24 hrs or else the next change will only be possible after 7 days.

2. Add new preferences in existing preferences:
To add new preferences in your existing preferences type <START> <preference number> and send to 1909.
For eg. : If you are registered in partially blocked category having preferences as 2 (Real Estate) and 3 (Education) and also wants to add 4 (Health) then you may send following SMS:
<START> 2,3,4 for opting to receive SMS relating to Real Estate, Education and Health, By Call (Toll Free)
You may dial 1909 from your AIRCEL mobile to Change your Preferences.

C. Deregistration Process
You may deregister from NCPR service only after three months from the date of registration.
By SMS (Toll Free)
To deregister type <STOP> and send to 1909
By Call (Toll Free)
You may dial 1909 from your AIRCEL mobile to deregister from NCPR.

Please Note: Your request for Customer Preference Registration, partial registration or De-registration will be effective within 7 days from the date of submission of the request.
