DTE Karnataka Duplicate Certificate & Marks Cards

The Department of Technical Education is the highest policy making body in the field of Technical Education in Karnataka. Its primary function is planning of developing Technical Education in the state.

The Board of Technical Examination is responsible for conduct of Diploma/Post diploma /Tailoring examination and award Diploma/Post Diploma/certificate to the eligible candidates.Director of Technical Education is the Chairman of the Board and all the other activities of the Board is carried out by the Secretary , Board of Technical Examination.

As the Board conducts examinations in large number of centres across the State. Common guidelines are necessary based on Board of Technical Examinations working rules in order to bring uniformity and standardization in conduct of examinations.

Central Board of Technical Examination was established in the year 1952 and subsequently redesignated as Board of Technical Examinations.Guidelines for issue of various certificates and conditions for issue of such certificate.

Issue of Diploma certificates :
A student becomes eligible for the issue of Diploma Certificate after a lapse of three months after the announcement of provisional result. A indent form has to be filled giving all details of appearance duly signed by the Principal and sent to Secretary, Board of Technical Examination for needful action. For the payment of fees please refer to Government Order No. ED 11 TPE 2007.

Consolidation of Marks Card :
Consolidation of Marks Card is not carried out for the semester scheme candidates.
Issue of Duplicate Marks Cards :
Duplicate marks card will be issued after the receipt of candidates requisition letter duly forwarded by Principal along with an Affidavit on Rs. 20-00 Stamp Paper and prescribed fees as per GO ED (11) TPE 2007.

Correction of Marks Card and issue of Fresh Marks Cards :
For any correction ind the marks card. New Marks Card is issued to the semester scheme candidates. Corrected new semester scheme marks cards will be issued after the receipt of candidates requisition letter, already issued original marks card and prescribed fees as per GO No. ED (1) TPE 2007. which is forwarded by the respective Polytechnic Principal.

Issue of Duplicate DTE Karnataka Diploma Certificate

Duplicate Diploma Certificate will be issued to the candidate on production of following documents.
** Required fees receipt paid in Government/Aided Polytechnic Treasury.
** Matter printed on Rs. 20-00 Stamp Paper.
** Original police complaint lodged in the area where Diploma Certificate was lost/stolen.
** Announcement in local dailies stating the loss of Diploma Certificates.
** Application duly signed by candidate and Principal.

Note
: The candidates become eligible for the issue of duplicate Diploma Certificate after a lapse of 30 days from the date of Police Complaint/announcement in local daily.

Tution Fee Exemption :
** For Candidates whose Family income is less than Rs/-11,000 per PA is exempt from tuition fee as per No ELN SQ(3) CR 8/94-95 dated 29-08-96
** Women Candidates getting admitted to Govt. Women`s Polytechnics are exempted from paying the tuition fee.
