About Us :
** Indian Bureau of Mines was set up on 1st March,1948.
** Initially IBM functioned purely as an advisory body.

** It helped government in framing various rules like Mines & Minerals (Regulation & Development) Act, 1948, Mineral Concession Rules, 1949 and Petroleum Concession Rules, 1949.

** IBM was given a set of functions in 1950 and in accordance with it, the inspection of mines and mineral prospects became a regular activity.

** By 1953 IBM was given an additional function of undertaking detailed exploration of mineral deposits. Among the minerals explored by IBM were Iron Ore, Limestone, Dolomite, Coal, Copper, Tungsten.

May be you are using the wrong website for resetting your password for Form-M i.e. ibmreturns.gov.in/index.php/auth/login. The correct link to reset your password is https://ibmreg.nic.in/.

How to generate user id for various plants or locations?
Please follow the guidelines to file Form – O & N, as available at ibm.gov.in/writereaddata/files/07172015171321Guidelines%20to%20fill%20Form-O%20and%20N%20.pdf.

I am unable to find file Form – O or File Form – N link on my home page.
You can see “File Form-O” or “File Form-N” link only after login with username of the form 57(application id)/block8/1or2 or…. and 57(application id)/block7/1 or 2 or ….; generated for various plants, as given in Part II of “Guidelines to file Form-O & N”.

Is it mandatory to file Form-O & N?
Yes as per rule-45 of MCDR, 2017 it is mandatory to file Form-O and N for any trader, stockist, Enduser and Exporters dealing with the minerals.
