Objective :
The objective of the scheme is to involve the state in the export effort by providing assistance to the State Government for creating appropriate infrastructure for development and growth of exports.

Eligible Agencies :
Under the scheme, funds for the approved projects may be sanctioned to :
** Public Sector undertakings of Central/ State Governments
** Other agencies of Central/ State Governments
** Export Promotion Councils/ Commodity Boards

** Apex Trade bodies recognized under the EXIM policy of Government of India and other apex bodies recognized for this purpose by the Empowered Committee set up under para 8.

** Individual Production/ Service Units dedicated to exports.

Quantum of Assistance :
** The assistance is being provided to a non-government agency shall be restricted to 50% of the total project cost or Rs. 7.5 crores, whichever is less.

** For projects of Government Department/Body/Agency,the State Level Export Promotion Committee (SLEPC) may consider full funding of the project on merits.

Criteria for approval of projects :
** Land free from all encumbrances is prerequisite for consideration of projects for assistance under ASIDE.

Procedure :
A. For Sanction of Assistance :
** The applicant shall have to apply to the office of Industries Commissioner in a prescribed application form along with all documents given in the checklist.

** The application/proposal will be scrutinize and discussion/presentation meeting will be arranged with applicant, if required.

** Agenda will be prepared and placed before the State Level Export Promotion Committee (SLEPC) for approval.
** On approval of the project, Sanction Letter will be issued.

B. For Disbursement of Assistance :
** Applicant shall have to submit a claim for assistance along with all documents given in the checklist to the Office of Industries Commissioner endorsing copy to the concerned District Industries Center.

** The Joint Inspection Team of District Industries Center will inspect the site and submit report to the Office of Industries Commissioner, as per the conditions indicated in the sanction letter and guidelines of ASIDE, for eligible investment incurred under the scheme.

** Industries Commissionerate will accord approval to Nodal Agency-GIDC to disburse the amount of assistance.
