EICI Exporter Registration

EICI Security Features

EICI employs a range of security features for its Internet Application. These measures extend from data encryption to firewalls. EICI uses the most advanced commercially available 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology to ensure that the information exchanged between the customer’s Computer and EICI Severs over the Internet is secure and cannot be accessed by any third party. SSL has been universally accepted on the World Wide Web for authenticated and encrypted communication between customers’ computers and servers.

** Look for the padlock symbol at the bottom right of a web page to ensure the site is running in secure mode BEFORE you input sensitive information. Make SURE that you have latest anti-virus software. An Anti-virus software needs frequent updates to guard against new viruses. Such general updates are usually available Free of Cost from Service Providers.

** If possible, install a personal firewall to help prevent unauthorized access to your home computer, especially if you connect through a cable or DSL modem.

Functions of EICI

The Export Inspection Council of India (EIC) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It was established in 1964 to promote and facilitate exports from India by providing quality control and inspection services to exporters.

The EIC has a network of offices and laboratories across India. It provides a range of services to exporters, including:
** Pre-shipment inspection: The EIC inspects goods before they are exported to ensure that they meet the quality and safety standards of the importing country.
** Post-shipment inspection: The EIC inspects goods after they have been exported to ensure that they meet the quality and safety standards of the importing country.
** Testing: The EIC provides testing services to exporters to ensure that their goods meet the quality and safety standards of the importing country.
** Certification: The EIC provides certification services to exporters to help them comply with the requirements of the importing country.
** Training: The EIC provides training to exporters on quality control and inspection.

  • How can I do online submission of GSP? Is there any online registration for submission of GSP? We are in urgent need of GSP for our export to Russia. We are already member and our membership registration number is 9532.
