Step 2 : Get a Code

Why should I do this? What is this government mandate? :
After a recent Supreme Court order vide no. 607/2016 dated 6th Feb 2017, the Department of Telecom (DoT) has issued instructions to all mobile service providers to update the customer’s Aadhaar number to his/her mobile number through a biometric process.
This is only true for all prepaid and postpaid customers who have not activated their number through the new biometric based e-KYC process. This means that, if you activated your Vodafone number by submitting forms and paper documents earlier, you will now need to update your Aadhaar number against your mobile number. The last date to complete this is February 6, 2018.

Sorry, it’s not possible currently. No Telecom Operator will be able re-verify your account if you are in another location. The re-verification can be done only in the same circle in which your connection was bought. And as per now, there is no official notification or information from Government too.

No, you can link anyone’s Aadhaar Card to Mobile Number if you have access to the Mobile Number. If you are using Mobile Number of your Father then while re-verification, you can use your Aadhaar Card and Link it to the Mobile Number. The ownership will get transferred to the Aadhaar Card Holder.
