Online Traffic Challan Payment :

Under Motor Vehicle Act 1988 and Motor Vehicle Rules 1989, a vehicle is challaned for violation of prescribed provisions.

Payment Modes :
The amount of Challan may be deposited using any one of the below mentioned payment modes before date of appearing in Court.Otherwise Challan will be sent to the concerned court.
Online at /hppolice.gov.in using Credit Card / Internet Banking .

Privacy Policy :
** Challan related information should only be revealed.
** Credit/Debit information should not be disclosed to either NIC or any other agency.

Refund Policy :
In case of double online payment of Challan.Please send e-mail to aig-rnt-hp AT nic.in or can contact on Phone No. 0177-2623955. The necessary orders for the refund of the extra money will be executed by the AIG (R&T)

Cancellation Policy :
There is no provision of cancellation of Challans in H.P. Police.

Note :
** At Cash Counter in the office of concerned District Supdt. of Police on any working day from 10 :00 AM to 5:00 PM .
** Cash deposit in A/C No. 30119774966 in any Branch of State Bank of India. .

Registration of Senior Citizens :
Senior Citizens who have attained the age of 60 years or above, and are staying alone or as a couple, but without any other younger family members are eligible for registration with the Tehsil/District Welfare Office.

Enrollment is purely on a voluntary basis. A register shall be opened in the Tehsil/District Welfare Office where every senior citizen interested in registering himself would fill up a registration form to be provided by the cell. After registration, he shall be provided with a registration number by the office for future reference.

About Us :
Himachal Pradesh as political entity came into existence on 15th April, 1948. It was constituted by integrating the princely States of Chamba, Mandi, Suket, Sirmaur and 26 smaller states known as the Punjab Hill States.

Subsequently, in 1954 Bilaspur, which was then a part “C” State, was also merged with Himachal Pradesh. In 1960 District Kinnaur was carved out of District Mahsu which was earlier constituted by merging 27 hill states.
