Nammaku Naame Scheme :
** TAMIL NADU TEACHERS HOUSING AND WELFARE TRUST is a premier Organisation dedicated its services to the welfare of the Teachers and Teaching community as a whole. In today’s environment, the Housing facilities, Educational and health facilities have become very costly due to the arrival of various Multinational Companies and Corporate sector establishments. We have been forced to pay a huge price for same goods and services. Further, it is a fact that the salaries of the Teachers and educationist are far below the salaries of our brothers and sisters or our wards working in MNCs.
** Under these circumstances, we are confident that we can improve the standard of living of our Teachers Community by offering the facilities at a lesser cost and reducing their burden. To achieve this, we have to provide the Teachers community the basic facilities such as Housing, Education and Medical at a comparatively lower cost with service oriented approach. “A clear vision, backed by definite plans, gives you a tremendous feeling of confidence and personal power.”
** If, we work unitedly we may procure the house sites and houses at 50% lesser than the market rate since the promotional and marketing expenses are totally avoided which reduce the burden. This will facilitate us to buy the properties at an affordable price. To achieve this goal, a scheme called “Namakku Naame” is being introduced. “The best way to predict the future is to create it.”
** This scheme is formulated to benefit, lakhs and lakhs of teachers, Post graduate teachers, Professors, Doctors, Researchers, educationist, Trainers and employees working in various Educational Institutions like Medical Colleges, Universities, Training Institutes owned by the State, Centre and Private sector, members of Parent Teachers Associations and General Public recommended by the Teaching Professional situated in Tamilnadu.
** Our scheme is aimed at improving the Standard of Living, economy of the teaching community by offering housing, educational and medical facilities at the barest minimum rate with service motive. The Multiple Revenue Streams are designed to improve the earning power of the Teaching community.
Salient Features :
** The Scheme “Namakku Naame” is formulated as a service minded approach with the concept “No Loss No Profit” method.
** To join this scheme, you need not pay any advance payment or Registration Charges for Research Analysis.
** All that you have to do is to register your name with us for the scheme you choose.
Housing Facility :
It is better to select the Town or Nagar according to our choice and after getting the necessary approval, housing plots are allotted to the registered members in the layout. This will not only help us in choosing place but also reduces the cost from 30% to 60% of the market rate. Instead, the Trust selecting the place and selling to the Teachers Community, the teachers themselves select the area and the Trust will facilitate such arrangement in forming the layout and allotment of House site.
Housing Loans :
At present various banks charge different rate of interest for loans for the purchase of plots / Houses. When Teachers Community as whole may approach the bank for Home Loan facility under various schemes in different places, there is a possibility of Special Scheme by Banks at a lower rate of interest, with the approval of Reserve Bank of India.
Consumer Goods :
As mentioned above, we may also buy the household articles and other consumer goods directly from the manufacturers. This direct bulk purchase from the manufacturers reduces the overhead expenses, dealers commission etc, thereby we may get the required items at less than 30% to 50% of the market price.
Education And Health :
“Education is a progressive discovery of our own ignorance.” At present we have to spend Rs.5 lakhs to Rs.75 lakhs when we seek admission in Engineering or Medical College for our wards. This is the order of the day. This situation may be changed with the assistance of like minded people and we may establish a separate educational institution with low individual investments and with the financial assistance from Banks. Apart from admitting our wards in these institutions, the parents, if they are willing, may get some assignment in these Institutions after retirement also.
Special Housing Scheme :
** Apart from the above, people desirous of buying house sites in instalments, may join the Monthly installment Scheme wherein you have to pay Rs.1/= per Sq.ft per month and become a member in the scheme. The Minimum amount under this scheme is Rs.600 per month. (Re.1/- X 600 Sq.ft)
** Apart from the above schemes, more schemes are covered in “Namakku Naame” Scheme which is given in the enclosed format. By joining the scheme, we may reduce our financial burden to a greater extent. Those who are willing to join the scheme may register with us by filling the enclosed form. Persons who have offered their willingness to join the scheme will be called for a Group Discussion shortly and the communication to that effect will be sent by email.
** Execution of the Scheme and other details are made available in our website and the scheme is also applicable to all retired staff of all Educational Institutions also.

In order to maintain transparency, a Committee will be formed comprising of five persons, selected by lottery basis from out of the beneficiaries expressed their willingness. This committee will negotiate with the Sellers/Manufacturers in procuring the Land, Plots, House Sites, Household articles at the wholesale rate/lowest price.
