eMO Delivery Procedure:
Examination of eMO:-
(1) The eMOs which are payable by the connected post office (HO / SO) and non-connected post offices in account with it will be printed by the PA daily at fixed intervals as stipulated by the Divisional Superintendent keeping in view the mail / delivery arrangements. However, care should be taken that the maximum eMO are printed before departure of Postmen staff in the case of own office and before dispatch of Account Bag / Registered Bag as the case may be. The eMOs printed shall be signed by the PA and Supervisor with post office date stamp. The eMOs will be printed post office PIN Code wise along with a list in duplicate for eMOs payable at the connected office and for other offices in triplicate. Further, Postmaster will ensure that Print-out of all eMOs received in the office, after the hours of Delivery, is also taken before the closing Hours of the office and kept in the safe custody of the Postmaster, ready to be issued for payment the next day.

(2) eMOs payable at connected HO / SO will be transferred to the PA concerned for payment along with one copy of list under receipt obtained on second copy of the list.

(3) eMOs payable at post offices in account with printing HO / SO will be transferred along with two copies of list under receipt obtained on the 3rd copy of the list to Sub-account Assistant for dispatching the same to the post office duly entered in SO / BO slip. These can be transmitted through Account Bag or through Registered Bag entering the list of eMOs in registered list to such suboffices if there is a delivery advantage.

A ‘Payee’ is the person named in money order as the person to whom the money is to be paid . The advantage of sending money to someone through money order is that the money is delivered at the house or his place of stay.
