Features of Aadhaar Card

Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique identification number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to all Indian residents based on their biometric and demographic information. It is a voluntary program, but it is increasingly being used as a proof of identity and address for a variety of purposes, such as opening a bank account, getting a mobile phone connection, or applying for a government job.

Here are some of the key features of Aadhaar:
** Uniqueness: Aadhaar is a unique number, and no two people can have the same number. This is because it is linked to the individual’s biometric and demographic information, which is unique to each person.
** Portability: Aadhaar is a portable number, and it can be used anywhere in India. This is because the UIDAI maintains a central database of all Aadhaar numbers, which can be accessed by any authorized entity.
** Security: Aadhaar is a secure number, and it is protected by a number of security features, such as biometric authentication and encryption.
** Convenience: Aadhaar is a convenient number, and it can be used to access a variety of government and private services. This is because it is a single number that can be used to prove identity and address.
