E-Refund Online Application

E-Refund system is another online service which is being introduced by the Taxation Department enabling the registered dealer to apply for refund from comfort of his residence/office.

The objective of the e-Refund System is to replace the manual process to apply for refund by an electronic online system.

With the introduction of the online system the dealers can place his/her application for Refund electronically through the web portal of the Taxation Department.

Different type of refund that the dealers are eligible are:
** Refund Excess Payment
** Refund of Security Deposit
** Refund based on ITC
** Refund for Exporters

How to Avail :
Only the Registered Dealers of the Taxation Department, Govt. of Meghalaya who possess a valid TIN & CST registration No. issued by the Taxation Department and generated by the back-end application can access this application.

Dealers, who use the application for the first time, must get themselves registered using the New User link and obtain a user ID and Password.

Once registered, the dealer can login to the site and apply for his/her appropriate refund online.

General Instructions To The Users :
** Only the Registered Dealers (REGISTERED under VAT and CST) and Users of Taxation Department can access this application.
** Dealer Refund as per Form 28

** Security Refund as per Form 29
** Input Tax Credit as per Form 30
** Export Refund as per Form 31

Registration Branch :
** Registration of Marriages – Marriages which fall under the special Marriage Act. 1854.

** Registration of documents and deeds – Documents which are registered under the Indian Registration Act, 1908 like Deeds, Mortgages, Agreements, Bond and Divorces.

** Matters relating to Administration of Acts and Rules relating to Registration – Indian Registration Act, 1908 and the Assam Registration Manual as adapted by Meghalaya Government.

** Registration of firms – To register the firms under the Indian Partnership Act, 1932 and issue of certificate thereof,

Taxation Department :
** Matters relating to various taxation measure and Administration of the Taxation Acts.
** Administrative matters relating to the establishment of the Commissioners of Taxes.

The different kinds of Taxation Acts are shown below :
** The Meghalaya Sales Tax Act.
** The Meghalaya Finance (Sales Tax) Act.

** The Meghalaya (Sale:; of petroleum and petroleum products including motor spirit and lubricants) Taxation Act.
** The Meghalaya Purchase Tax Act.

** The Meghalaya Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Taxation Act.
** The Meghalaya Amusements and Betting Tax Act.
** The Meghalaya Passengers and Goods Taxation Act.
** The Meghalaya Electricity Duty Act.
** The Central Sales Tax Act, 1966.
