Army Veterans Grievance Redressal Mechanism :

The Veteran/Nok/Dependent needs to go to nearest Esm Cell/Stn HQ for redressal of grievance along with required documents.

The Esm Cell/Stn HQ will fill in the required details of the Veteran/Nok/Dependent to register the member on web portal. Please click on the links (PDF files) at the bottom of the page to view the information that would be asked at the time of registration by the Esm Cells.

The Veteran/Nok/Dependent will receive the log in ID & password through SMS/E-Mail alert for future access on the web portal.

The Esm Cell/Stn HQ will forward the grievance to the concerned section. To choose the correct redressal agency before submitting the grievance, kindly see the role and tasks of the concerned redressal agency.

The Veteran/Nok/Dependent receives the Complaint Registration Number for future reference through SMS/E-Mail alert.

The Veteran/Nok/Dependent will log in through login ID & password as received earlier to check the status of grievance.

If Veteran/Nok/Dependent is satisfied with the reply as forwarded by the redressal agency, he/she will close the grievance or the same will get closed automatically after 30 days.

The registered Veteran/Nok/Dependent can forward grievances without visiting the Esm Cell/Stn HQ. After due vetting by the Esm Cell/Stn HQ before forwarding the same to redressal agency.

Directorate of Indian Army Veterans (DIAV) :
The Veterans Cell was raised in April, 2013 as a single window for the redressal of veterans’ issues and aspirations at Army HQ level. Since then, its role and charter has expanded considerably, to include matters beyond the usual pension and welfare related issues.

It does not only interact with the line directorates and welfare societies at the AG Branch, but also with other directorates, state governments, skilling agencies and placement partners across the country.

These enhanced functions required the scaling up of the Army Veterans Cell into the Directorate of Indian Army Veterans (DIAV) at the AG Branch. It now functions directly under the Adjutant General, thereby according the required importance to the management of Veteran affairs in the Indian Army.

About Portal:
Indian Army Veterans Portal provides a unique platform to the veterans,widows, & dependents on a wide range of issues, with an inbuilt feature of addressing the grievance directly to the concerned respondent(s). The web portal provides all the information required by the veteran, widows and their dependents. Relevant forms can be downloaded as required as also the grievances can be projected to the right agency for redressal directly online. The Veterans can register themselves from any of the ESM Cells located across the country, and thereafter use the electronically generated USER ID and PASSWORD to follow up the complaint at his/her level. It is expected that the web portal will contribute immensely to the satisfaction of the veterans and widow community.

  2. Please any one can give me clarification ,why ex-serviceman not avail second time ex-serviceman facility. I shri Prakash am reemployed. Now I wish to apply higher post. Can I avail ex-serviceman reservation policy?

    Respected Sir, Recently our veterans local monthly meeting a point has come up for discussion regarding usage of prefixing the word Veteran to the rank while addressing or sending letters/Invitation. Some of them had argued that Veteran Hony Lt Xxxxx can be used and it is in the correct usage. Others had stated that prefixing the word Veteran to the ranis not correct.Normally and as per the present system we use as Hony Lt AK JAYARAJAN (Retd). May I request your kind honor to clarify the correct usage of the word Veteran to the rank Like Veteran Lt Col VENEGOPALAN? Any policy letter regarding the usage word VETERAN if available may kindly made available to me to educate the veterans of unit members.

  4. I am a pensioner officer. My arrears of pay from 2006-2012 have not been paid my bank official are not able to answer as when this will be paid. I have written to CPPC Delhi also. My bank is BOB Krishan Nagar. My pension a/c no is 17360100003812. Please advice further.
