Here are some of the services offered by CARA:
** Registration of prospective adoptive parents: Prospective adoptive parents (PAPs) can register with CARA through a recognised adoption agency. The registration process includes a home study, which is a comprehensive assessment of the PAPs’ suitability for adoption.
** Matching of PAPs with children: Once PAPs are registered, they are matched with children who are available for adoption. The matching process is based on the PAPs’ preferences and the needs of the children.
** Adoption counselling: CARA provides adoption counselling to PAPs and children. The counselling helps PAPs to understand the adoption process and to prepare for the challenges of parenting a child who has been adopted.
** Post-adoption support: CARA provides post-adoption support to PAPs and children. The support includes counselling, financial assistance, and access to services such as healthcare and education.
