Documents Required for Passport

i) Minor/ Adult / Senior Citizen

Note :
Applicants are required to furnish original documents along with one set of self-attested photocopies of the same at the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) for processing.

Minor
** It is assumed that consent of both parents is available, unless specified.
** For minor applicants, present address proof document in the name of parent(s) can be submitted.
** It is advised to carry original and self-attested copies of parents passport to Passport Seva Kendra (PSK), in case parents possess passport.
** For minor applicants, documents can be attested by parents.

Adult :
Excluding Senior Citizens

ECNR :
** ECR stands for Emigration Check Required.
** ECR status will be printed in the passport of the applicants who fall in the ECR category.For those falling in the Non-ECR category, there will be no specific mention in the passport.
** The practice of putting Non-ECR (previously ECNR) stamp has been discontinued.

When to apply for Tatkaal :
** You should select the Type of Application as “Tatkaal” only when you need the Passport urgently. You are required to pay an additional amount over the normal application fee in order to avail this facility.

All GAZETTED Government servants, their spouses and dependent children. :
For Gazetted Government servants
** Identity Certificate as per Annexure B
** No Objection Certificate as per Annexure M For spouses of gazetted government servants
** Identity Certificate as per Annexure B OR
** An attested copy of marriage certificate issued by Registrar of OR
** Joint Affidavit as per Annexure D For dependent children of gazetted government servants
** Identity Certificate as per Annexure B OR
** Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Authority or any office authorized

All persons above the age of 50 years :
** Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Authority or any office authorized to issue Birth and Death Certificate by the Registrar of Births & Deaths OR
** School leaving certificate / Secondary School leaving certificate/ Certificate of Recognized Boards from the school last attended by the applicant or any other recognized educational institution OR

Senior Citizen :
** You are a MALE/ above 65 years of age AND NOT a Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) resident#.
** You are a MALE above 65 years AND a Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) resident#.
** You are a above 60 years AND a Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) resident#.
