1. What are the new features added in the latest version (4.0)?
Flights/Bus ticket booking have been introduced. To avail these services please download the latest app from Google Play Store and register using your existing Wallet ID.

2. How do I create / get my Canara mWallet?
Creation of mWallet can be done using the internet portal link which is made available in our website. mWallet gets created after authentication with your internet banking credentials.You can get your wallet Id from the Internet portal available

3. Whether any amount is deducted at the time of creation of mWallet?
Yes, a nominal amount of Rs.100 is deducted from your account at the time of creation of wallet. This is not service charge. This will be part of your wallet balance which can be reversed to your account on inactivation.

4. Do I need to register my mWallet before using?
Yes, After successful creation of mWallet, it has to be registered using the Canara mWallet Mobile App that is installed in your device. An mPIN is sent while registering and the same has to be reset to your mPIN.

5. How secure is Canara mWallet?
Canara mWallet uses your Internet Banking credentials for the creation of mWallet. Subsequently, the mWallet with that ID can be used only from your device and cannot be used from any other mobile or device. mPIN also enforces more security.

6. What will happen if I forget my mPIN?

Canara mWallet will not allow more than 3 wrong attempts of mPIN. Then the mWallet would be locked for 24 hours. On 5 consecutive locks of the mWallet, the mWallet will be de-activated automatically and the balance will be reversed to the linked account of the customer.

7. Is there a minimum and maximum limit for the mWallet?
The minimum and maximum limits are displayed at the time of Wallet creation. You will get the same information under “Wallet”. Your transaction amount cannot exceed single transaction limit, the total amount for a month cannot exceed the maximum limit for the month. The balance left over cannot go below minimum limit.

8. What do I need to make a payment with a merchant?

You just need to choose the correct merchant form the list, give a transaction desc and amount to be paid. Enter the mPIN while prompted to and your payment is done.

9. How can I Top-Up my mWallet?
You can Top-up your mWallet either through the mWallet itself by option Wallet-> Wallet Top-up. Or through the Internet portal used for creating your mWallet.

10. Whether I can transfer some money to my friends wallet?

Yes, you can transfer part of your wallet balance to your friends wallet by just giving the mobile number of the friend and the amount to be transfered. Your friend also should have a registered Canara mWallet for the given mobile number.

11. How do I pay utility bills through mWallet?

The Biller whose bills have be paid is to be added first through mWallet, after which you will be able to view the pending bills by status and do the payment.

12. What are the other payment facilities available in Canara mWallet?
You can Make Donations, Do Subscriptions, Top-up your pre-paid mobiles and Pay your insurance, credit cards through your Canara mWallet.

13. What should I do if I dont want to use the mWallet anymore?

You can de-activate the mWallet using the option provided in the mobile app or through the internet portal. The balance available under your mWallet account will be reversed to your linked account and the mWallet will be de-activated.

14. Whether I can use Canara mWallet again after I have de-activated?

Yes, you can create another mWallet and register it. The total transaction amount for the wallets created for an account cannot exceed the maximum limit anytime.

15. What should I do if I lose / change my mobile / SIM card / phone number?
If the mobile is lost, please de-activate at the earliest using the internet portal. In case of others, once application is installed again and wallet-id is given, it will prompt for Re-registration. Same mWallet can be used.
