All grievances relating to to State Governments / Union Territory Administrations and Government of NCT Region of Delhi, are to be redressed by the State/ UT/ NCT Government concerned. Citizens are advised to take up matter regarding pendency of their grievance directly with the State Government concerned.

FAQs

What are the prescribed limits for refund?
1. In case of confirmed reserved tickets, upto 2 hours of the actual departure of the train irrespective of distance. No refund will be granted after two hours of the actual departure of the train.

2. In case of RAC/waitlisted tickets upto three hours after the actual departure of the train irrespective of the distance. No refund will be granted after 3 hours of the actual departure of the train.

3. For trains departing between 21.00 hours and 06.00 hours (actual departure), you can get a refund within two hours of opening of the Reservation Office, in case no current counters are available at the originating station.

Suppose I am unable to approach the concerned authorities, what do I do?
In exceptional circumstances you may obtain a Ticket Deposit Receipt (TDR) from the nearest major station within 3 (Three) days from the day of scheduled travel.

You must then submit an application in the prescribed form (Printed on the back of TDR) to the Chief Commercial Manager (Refunds) of the Zonal Railway to which the Ticket Deposit Receipt-issuing station belongs.

This application must be submitted within 10 (Ten) days from the date of your journey. The refund officer will examine the case on merit and, if decided, refund will be sent to you by a Station Pay Order (to be encashed at station) or Money Order or Crossed Cheque

Will the entire amount be refunded or will I lose some money?
The fare you paid for your ticket will be refunded after deducting cancellation charges in case of confirmed ticket and clerkage Charge in case of RAC/WL/Unreserved Tickets, If the ticket is surrendered within the prescribed time limit as per refund rules.

  1. train no 19019 bandra to dehradun, as per request kindly add pantry in this train, and no water was available in bathroom since Kota to haridwar.very worst train

  2. I HAD BOOKED SLEEPER TICKET FOR GOING FROM MATHURA TO HARIDWAR BY TRAIN NUMBER 19019 BANDRA -DEHRADUN EXPRESS ON 03RD JUNE 2017. I WAS ALLOTTED SLEEPER BIRTH S3/28. EARLIER IT WAS ON WAIT-LIST. WHEN I BOARDED THE TRAIN AT ABOUT 02.35 AM, I FOUND MY BIRTH WAS OCCUPIED BY A LADY AND CLAIMING THAT IT IS HER. I HAVE SHOWN HER SMS ALLOTTING ME THE SEAT, STILL SHE REFUSED AND SAID LET THE TTE COME. THE TTE CAME ONLY IN THE MORNING AT 10 AM AND THE WHOLE NIGHT I WAS SUFFERING AND FOUND MY SAMSUNG ANDROID PHONE MISSING. CIRCUMSTANTIAL EVIDENCE SHOWS THE PHONE WAS STOLEN BY HER OR BY HER AIDEES, SO THAT I CAN NOT SHOW SMS TO TTE. SHE BELONG TO A PACKAGE TOUR GROUP AND ALL OTHER NEARBY SEATS WERE OCCUPIED BY THEM. I AM 77 YEARS OLD AND WAS HELPLESS. IF POSSIBLE GET ME HER ADDRESS SO THAT AT LEAST I CAN GET THE MEMORY CARD IN WHICH MANY MEMORABLE PHOTOS INCLUDED. HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ALLOTTED BIRTH NUMBER S3- 29 OR 30 AND IT WAS OCCUPIED BY HER TOUR MEMBER. HER HUSBAND OCCUPIED S3/25. THERE MUST BE SUITABLE PUNISHMENT AND PENALTY SO THAT NO ONE DARE TO DO SAME TYPE OF OFFENSE.
