Eligible Depositors :
** Resident Indian fulfilling account opening requirements may, upon agreeing to comply with the prescribed rules, open a Savings Bank Account, provided he/she furnishes proof of identity and proof of address as required by the Bank

Type of accounts which can be opened online :
** Individual – Single Account, Two or more individuals in Joint Accounts
** Pensioners

Branches where account can be opened :
** At all the branches of the Bank

Documents required :
** Passport size photographs
** Proof of residence
** Proof of identity

Minimum balance to be maintained :
** a250/- for non cheque operated accounts
** a500/- for cheque operated accounts
** a250/- for Pensioners cheque operated accounts
** a100/- for Pensioners non cheque operated accounts

Interest :
** 4% in January and July on a daily product basis

Facilities available :
** ECS/RTGS/NEFT facilities available
** Two cheque books of 2 x 20 leaves free in a calendar year for cheque operated SB accounts.
** Collection of local cheques free
** Collection of Outstation cheques with charges as prescribed
** No charges for Intra city transactions
** ICOOC ( Local / Outstation) facility available
** ATM cards / Debit cards are provided free of cost
** 24 hrs ATM facility with arrangements with various banks for sharing of their ATMs
** Internet/Mobile /Phone banking/IMPS facility available
** 50 withdrawals permitted free per half year
** No TDS on interest earned on SB deposits

Nomination :
** Nomination facility is available. Nomination can be made in favour of only one nominee
