How to Lodge Grievance on NIVARAN Portal?

A person who wants to lodge a grievance on NIVARAN Portal shall have to register as a User and obtain Login/User ID and Password.

Existing registered users can sign in with user name, if not a registered user, then create Account by clicking ‘Create Account’ Link.

After obtaining the Log/User ID the person can register the grievance as per prescribed format.

On successful completion the system would generate a unique registration number. The unique registration number should be retained for accessing the system in future

Can I lodge a grievance without possessing a mobile phone and email account?
1. While it is desirable that the person lodging a grievance possesses a mobile phone and email account for faster and more reliable communication, you can lodge your grievance even without them

Can I know the status of my grievance.
1. The person can track the status of grievance by using the Unique Registration number.
2. The person can intervene to make observation/reminder besides seeing the action taken on the grievance by different authorities.

What is the nature of grievance which can be lodged
1. Nivaran provides for lodging complaints arising out of service related issues which have been broadly classified under 6 categories. Under one of these categories further subcategories of grievance can be selected for quick transmission to the concerned authority.

2. If none of the categories appears to be suitable, the person can select ‘other’ category and lodge the complaint.

Timeline for disposal
1. The management has laid down a time limit of 60 days from day of registration for disposal of grievances unless on account of exceptional reasons.

How will I know the disposal of my case?
1. When the case is disposed off, a message would be sent on the registered email id and/or registered mobile number. The complainant can see the status by logging in the system.

Who will examine my grievance?
1. The grievance would be forwarded to the authority concerned with the subject matter as described in the complaint.

Can I appeal against the disposal.
1. If a grievant is not satisfied with the disposal, he/she can lodge an appeal with the help of original Registration number.
2. The grievance can be entered by clicking on ‘Appeal’ button which would be examined by a higher authority.
3. Time limit for disposal of appeal is 45 days.

Error / Problem:
1. I tried to register my grievance but, in vain it is stating that time out (or) some error in server. Please clarify, how I can proceed. I have sent my grievance through SMS. So far, I haven’t received any reply so far. Please guide me to proceed further.

2. Can I check the status of the grievances filed by me from a country outside India, specifically USA? The reason, I am asking this is somehow I am not able to login to the website. Also I would really appreciate if you can reply with non-generic sentences which I can often find in FAQs.

3. I am serving employee in SCRLY. I have lodged my grievance, Reference number is NIV/2016/001835. Further, I am unable track the status of my grievance, with registered user name and password and not received any reply from NIVARAN. What steps I have to take to know my status of the above grievance please.

Features of NIVARAN Portal

NIVARAN portal is an online platform launched by the Government of India to provide a grievance redressal mechanism for public grievances related to various central government organizations. The following are some features of the NIVARAN portal:

Easy Registration:
Users can register their grievances on the NIVARAN portal by providing basic details such as name, contact details, and grievance description.

Tracking of Grievances:
Once registered, users can track the status of their grievances on the portal using a unique reference number.

Centralized Platform:
The NIVARAN portal is a centralized platform that allows users to lodge their grievances related to different central government organizations.

Escalation Matrix:
The portal has an escalation matrix in place, which ensures that grievances are resolved within a specified time frame. If a grievance is not resolved within the given time frame, it is automatically escalated to higher authorities for faster resolution.

Additional Simplified Procedure

Here are the steps on how to submit a complaint at the NIVARAN portal:
1) Go to the NIVARAN portal website: https://pgportal.gov.in/
2) Click on the “Submit Complaint” tab.
3) You will see a form.
4) Fill in the form with the following information:
** Your name
** Your contact details
** The subject of your complaint
** The details of your complaint
** The category of your complaint
** The location of your complaint
5) Click on the “Submit” button.
6) You will receive a confirmation message.

The following documents are required to submit a complaint at the NIVARAN portal:
1) Proof of identity: This is a document that confirms your identity. You can use your Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID card, etc.
2) Proof of address: This is a document that confirms your address. You can use your Aadhaar card, Voter ID card, Driving License, etc.
3) Proof of complaint: This is a document that proves that you have a complaint. You can use a copy of your electricity bill, water bill, phone bill, etc.

  10. Having bonafide eligibility and filling up form timely for the post of S&WI (departmental) I am deprived of by my administration. Form filled up on date -10/01/2022, last date- 28/01/2022, Notice No- SER/P-HQ/EP/Selection/s&wi/Cadre.on date 28/03/2022 notice published . I did not find my name . And came to know that my dealing clerk not submitted . I want to appear the same examination. Because that is my wealth I have earned in my service period.   11. I am waiting to lodge a serious grievance which relates to the future of a class IV employee and due to the carelessness of administration it is related to life and death of that employee. Having bona fide eligibility I had applied for departmental examination for the post of S&WI on date – 10/01/2022 vide notice no -SER/P-HQ/EP/Selection/S&WI Ccadre. The last date was 28/01/2022. My 7th CPC Basic pay shown as 56900 as non running staff but pension shown as 40517 as per 2.47 formula. Request to issue instructions to implement the said order.

  22. I, working as DMS at Dy.CMM/LW/PER S.Rly was acquitted by supreme court in 2015 wad reinstated back to service only in 20-10-2016 after 18 months. The period of dismissal from 8-6-2005 to 20-10-2016 as per 1985 railway board letter has to be treated as duty. But in spite of my several representations since 20.02.2017 no reply has been received till date. Kindly please intervene and help me as I am retiring from service on superannuation on 31-10-2017.

DRM New Delhi has recently introduced to receive the Pass applications for complimentary passes up to 12.30 hrs and delivery of passes from 3.30 to 4.30, as such an elderly person has to waste full one day to get a pass. It is only to facilitate the employees of Pass Section. It can be possible for the working employees. Further they do not guarantee issue of the pass same. Consider the far off places in Delhi and NCR, it becomes impossible for an elderly person to travel on a long route. Permission may be granted to get the passes by post or continue the existing practice.

    In connection to the above, it is requested to you that I, the under mentioned named have been retired from Services in March,2012 as Sr.T.I.A West Central Railway Jabalpur, but the Amount Rs.20,636/-(Rupees twenty thousand six hundred thirty six only) has illegally and irregularly been deducted without pre intimation from settlement dues in partiality by the F.A.& C.A.O W.C (Without Control) Railway Jabalpur and requested to refund the same from time to time-
    That the unused passes had already been surrendered with Sr. A FA (T) and no recovery has been made from others till date and not surrendered the pass also.
    Therefore you are requested kindly to look into the matter and take appropriate action to refund early the same Amt Rs.20636/- at yours please.

    According to Sr DPO/ECR /DNR letter No :– Stb/S&T/RTI/AKS/SSE/Tele/14/DNR dated 29/09/15
    Basic pension in Dec 2015 = Rs 11660.00
    Commutation = Rs 2613.00
    Pension after commutation = Rs 9050.00
    Net pension in Dec 2015 will be = 9050 + 119 % of 11660 = Rs 22922.00

    On Jan 2016 my basic pension in 7th pc will be = 2.57 x 11660 = Rs 29966.00
    After commutation = 29966 – 2613 = Rs 27353.00
    Net pension in June 2017 will be = 27353 + 4 % of 29966 = Rs 28551.00

    But in June 2017, I am getting pension Rs 25813.00, a loss of Rs 2738 (Rs 28551.00 – Rs 25813.00 = Rs 2738)
    Why it is so?
    Hence I request you to please look into the matter and solve my problem.

  54. My husband worked as a Foreman A at Diesel loco shed Kazipet. Due to ill health he applied medical leave from 1-4-1981. After prolonged treatment he passed away on 23-7-2000.     I have lodged my grievance related to Bonus payment 2015-16 and difference of pay arrears after 7th pay commission implementation. I retired on 30th April 2016. My complaint no on nivaran website is NIV/2017/003725. I am not able to get any reply about action taken for my complaint. When I click on action taken it always shows error. So what can I do? Is this a fake site or are the employees being fooled? An early reply will be praised by me.

    I completed the registration but not login complaint.

    1. Your grievance cell is totally fraud. When entered password your machine always comment give 10 digit or shorter password, but never accept it.
