KDMC Citizen Registration

Right to Public Services legislation in Maharashtra comprises statutory laws which guarantee time bound delivery of services for various public services rendered by the Government to citizen and provides mechanism for punishing the errant public servant who is deficient in providing the service stipulated under the statute.

Right to Service legislation is meant to reduce corruption among the government officials and to increase transparency and public accountability. Government of Maharashtra has passed an ordinance in April 2015 to implement this in the state.

RTS application flow for Citizen :
** Citizen will have to access RTS web portal to avail various RTS services.
** New user hasto register using “Register Me” link from Citizen Service login.
** Registered user will usehis/her login credentials and fill in the application form for service that he/she wants to apply for.
** Once the application form is filled, citizen will upload the required documents where applicable and make the applicable payment if applicable.

** Citizen will be given unique Application No which can be used for further tracking. SMS and Email (where email id has been given) will be sent to Citizen upon successful completion of the service.

** Citizen has tosubmit/send the hardcopies of documents to Municipality concerned department/citizen facilitationcenter.

** Timeline for delivery of RTS starts once the Designated Officer receives the completed application. That is in case where documents are not applicable; service duration starts from the date of complete application and payment.

In case where documents attachment is applicable, it would start from the day when documents are submitted to Municipality and verified.

** Once the service process is completed, Certificate/ final output as per the applied service will be uploaded in Web Portal by Municipality and Citizen will be notified through SMS and Email (if Email id is provided)

** Citizen can download the final service output by login into RTS Portal.
** Status of application is given on the dashboard of home page of portal.

Option For Appeal By Citizen

Citizen can file an appeal if:
** Information/Output uploaded by Municipality is not satisfactory.
** Service is not provided within the defined period.
** Citizen not satisfied by the remarks given for rejection of an application.

The Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) is a civic body that provides a wide range of services to the citizens of Kalyan and Dombivli, including:

** Water supply: The KDMC provides water supply to the citizens of Kalyan and Dombivli through a network of pipelines. The water is sourced from the Ulhas River and treated at the KDMC’s water treatment plants.
** Sewerage: The KDMC collects and treats sewage from the citizens of Kalyan and Dombivli through a network of sewers. The sewage is treated at the KDMC’s sewage treatment plants and then discharged into the Ulhas River.
** Solid waste management: The KDMC collects and disposes of solid waste from the citizens of Kalyan and Dombivli. The solid waste is collected from households, commercial establishments, and public places. The collected waste is then transported to the KDMC’s landfills where it is disposed of in an environmentally safe manner.
** Street lighting: The KDMC maintains a network of street lights in Kalyan and Dombivli. The street lights are switched on and off at dusk and dawn.
