How to Apply GYSY :

Procedure :
** The application forms will be available FREE of cost at the Vodafone Stores/Vodafone Mini Stores across the state.

** These forms would be given one per person on producing the Identity proof.
** The applicant has to fill in the form and attach documents mentioned below and submit the same to the nearest notified retailer outlet.

** The applications so submitted will be digitized and authorized by the Government. All youth whose application is approved by the Government will receive the message on the Alternate mobile number provided on the form to come and collect their SIM at the selected Retailer Outlet.

Eligibility :
Any youth who fulfils all of the following conditions are eligible to apply :

** The youth who attains the age of 16 years on or after 1st April 2016 or who is less than equal to 30 years as on Date of registration minus 6 months, may apply for the scheme.
** Resident of Goa.

If any doubt arises regarding eligibility of any, the same shall be decided by a Committee consisting of the following :
** Secretary to Government of Goa in charge of Department of Information Technology,

** Additional/Joint Secretary to Government of Goa in charge in the Department of Finance as Member, and
** Director, Department of Information Technology as Member Secretary.

Other Details :
** All youth whose applications are approved by the Government will receive the message on the Alternate mobile number provided on the form to come and collect their SIM at any GYSY Retailer Outlet.

In case if applicant does not receive the message then they can check the status of application in track status to print the confirmation receipt and submit the same at the Retailer Outlet covered under GYSY to collect the FREE SIM card.

** The application duly filled and complete in all respect, received, shall be scrutinized and sanctioned by the Government of Goa, in the order in which application is received.

** The services under this scheme are non transferrable.
** The abusive/offensive/unlawful usage of the plan under this scheme will be liable for discontinuation of the scheme benefits.

** The services under this scheme are limited to the Goa and Maharashtra Circle (Excluding Mumbai).

Cancellation of Benefits :
The benefits under this scheme can be cancelled/deactivated either on request of the applicant or if the beneficiary crosses 30 year age mark or if the beneficiary is identified in making unlawful/abusive/offensive usage of the services.

About GYSY :
In line with the Digital India initiative of the Government of India, Government of Goa has promised to come up with Goa Yuva Samvad Yojan for the youth of the state.

This would be a plan wherein the youth would get free voice as well as data access in order to make the digital revolution inclusive and accessible to the youth of the state so that a level playing field of opportunities is created.

The availability for data access would help the youth gather vital information to help overall development with a focus on education and skill development.
