Indian Railways offers cashless ticketing option to its customer through internet ticketing on IRCTC website for booking reserved tickets. More than 58% of the train accommodation is reserved through e-ticketing.

IRCTC also provides option for purchasing Season Tickets for suburban train services on Western and Central Railways. Facility for purchasing unreserved tickets through mobile phone is available at DELHI, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Secunderabad.

Further Automatic Ticket Vending Machines dispensing unreserved tickets using smart cards are provided at over 1000 locations over CR, ER, ECoR, NR, NER, NWR, SR, SCR, SER, SECR, SWR, WR and WCR.

The Smart Cards can be purchased from nominated counters at the stations. Indian Railways seeks your cooperation and support in helping the Government and the nation in creating a cashless digital economy.

1. How to download the utsonmobile app?
The downloadable mobile application is uploaded in the OEMs application store (i.e.) Android app in Google play store and windows app in Window app store. The passenger can download the mobile ticketing app from the appropriate application store. The application is free to download.

2. What is the service offered by utsonmobile app?
The services are offered by utsonmobile app in Android and Windows Smartphone only. The phone should have minimum GPRS connectivity to use the services.

3. What are the pre-requisites to avail the utsonmobile app service?
The passenger should have Android and Windows Smartphone only. The phone should have minimum GPRS connectivity to use the services.

The passenger has to deposit money in advance in their Railway Wallet(R-Wallet). In order to have paperless Journey and Platform tickets, the smart phone should be GPS enabled

4. How to do registration?
The user/passenger can use the above mentioned services by registering himself/herself.
Registration can be done through mobile phone app or website

The passenger first will get registered by providing his/her mobile number , name, city, default booking train type, class, ticket type, number of passenger, frequently travelling routes and payment option.

After successful registration, an SMS will be sent to the user with login-id and password and zero-balance R-Wallet will be created without any additional cost.

5. How to change password?
The password can be changed by using the Change password option available in the mobile app or website.

Features of Indian Railways UTS Mobile Ticketing

The UTS Mobile Ticketing app is a mobile application developed by the Indian Railways that allows users to book unreserved tickets for local trains. The app is available for Android and iOS devices.

  1. I recharge my R-wallet on july 07, 2023, 18.39 Amounted Rs. 200.80 transaction no. 639665. terminal ID :00007021 ,but unfortunately not credited to my R- wallet till now. Please do rectify.
