About UDID :
The UDID project initiated by Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities aims at building a holistic end-to-end integrated system for Issuance of Universal ID & Disability Certificates for Person with Disabilities with their identification and disability details.

It includes:
** Online availability of data of Person with Disabilities across country through a centralized web application

** Online filing and submission of registration application form for disability certificate/ Universal ID card; Offline applications may also be accepted and subsequently digitized by agencies

** Quick Assessment process for calculating the percentage of disability by the hospitals/ Medical Board.Non-duplication of PwDs data

** Online renewal and update of information by Person with Disabilities/ on their behalf
** MIS reporting framework

** Effective management including interoperability of the benefits / schemes launched by the Government for PwD

** To take care of additional disabilities in future. Number of disabilities at the moment is seven and shall be subject to increase as per the new Act/ notification which can be up to 19 or more

Note :
8 States namely UTTAR PRADESH(2/75), ODISHA(30/30), CHHATTISGARH(3/27), MADHYA PRADESH(50/51), GUJARAT(32/33), MAHARASHTRA(24/36), KERALA(1/14), TAMIL NADU(3/33) have already started generating UDID Cards. As on 24-07-2017 1,27,109 UDID Cards have been generated. 33,35,972 applications were received online for UDID Card.

Benefits of Swavlamban Card

The UDID card shall bring a host of benefits to the Persons with Disabilities as given below :
** Persons with disabilities will not need to make multiple copies of documents, maintain, and carry multiple documents as the card will capture all the necessary details which can be decoded with the help of a reader

** The UDID card will be the single document of identification, verification of the disabled for availing various benefits in future

** The UDID Card will also help in stream-lining the tracking of the physical and financial progress of beneficiary at all levels of hierarchy of implementation – from village level, block level, District level , State level and National level

About Persons with Disabilities :
As per the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights & Full Participation) Act, 1995 – A person with disability can be defined as one with one or more of disabilities falling under any of the below mentioned categories

Blindness :
“Blindness” refers to a condition where a person suffers from any of the following conditions namely :
** Total absence of sight; or
** Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (Snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses; or
** Limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degree or worse;

Cerebral Palsy :
“Cerebral Palsy” means a group of non-progressive conditions of a person characterized by abnormal motor control posture resulting from brain insult or injuries occurring in the pre-natal, peri-natal or infant period of development;

Low vision :
” Low vision” means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment of standard refractive correction but who uses or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning or execution of a task with appropriate assistive device;

Additional Simplified Procedure

You can check the status of your Swavlamban Card application online by following these steps:
1. Go to the Swavlamban Card website: https://www.swavlambancard.gov.in/.
2. Click on the “Track Application Status” link.
3. Enter your enrolment/application registration number.
4. Enter your mobile number or Aadhaar number.
5. Click on the “Submit” button.

You will then be able to see the status of your application. The status of your application may be one of the following:
** Pending: Your application is still pending and has not yet been processed.
** Approved: Your application has been approved and your Swavlamban Card will be issued soon.
** Rejected: Your application has been rejected and you will not be issued a Swavlamban Card.

If your application is pending, you can check the status of your application again after a few days. If your application is approved, you will receive a message on your mobile phone or email with instructions on how to collect your Swavlamban Card.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind when checking the status of your Swavlamban Card application online:
** You must use the enrolment/application registration number that was provided to you when you applied for the Swavlamban Card.
** If you do not know your enrolment/application registration number, you can contact the Swavlamban Card helpdesk at 1800-11-2232.
** The status of your application may take a few days to update online.

    This is channaveera avate still I did not get UDId, I applied it is in 2017.
    Who is responsible for it.

    Self shivaji kisan cheke has been enrolled for in 18/03/2021, state id no. but unfortunately my adhar card is not mentioned my udid card. i am fill up form in my adhar no.
    i am renewal udid card form is not column in adhar no. mention. kindly look into the
    matter and issue UDID CARD at your earliest. my old udid card submitted after issue new UDID CARD.

  3. आदरणीय महोदय, मी स्वता एक अपंग व्यक्ती असून मला एका डोळ्याने पूर्णपणे दिसत नसून मला अपंगाची टक्केवारी ४०/. पेक्षा कमी मिळाली असून काय करावे लागेल

    self sandeep kumar singh has been enrolled for UDID in October 8 2021, but unfortunately, the UDID Number has not been generated till date. sandeep enrolment no. is 2110/00000/2012/0233231. He is Autistic, speech impaired and intellectually disabled. Kindly look into the matter and issue UDID at your earliest, please.

    My son, SAURAV, has been enrolled for UDID in August 2018, but unfortunately, the UDID Number has not been generated till date. Saurav’s enrolment no. is 0708/00000/1808/005XXXX. He is Autistic, speech impaired and intellectually disabled. Kindly look into the matter and issue UDID at your earliest, please.
