SMC Online Hall Booking

Online Hall Booking facility is the easy and convenient way to book the auditoria of SMC. You can view the availability details of the auditoria and select one of multiple sessions for booking. The booking is confirmed on the successful online payment of the rent and deposit amount for selected session(s).

** The Session time includes the entry and exit time.It is required to vacate the auditorium completely on or before the session end time,beyond which overtime will be charged.
** All parties/organizers have to observe the SMC RULES(Gandhi Smruti Bhavan,Sardar Patel Smruti Bhavan,Sanjeevkumar Auditorium ,Rang Upvan ).
** Production of all necessary permissions,licences,NOCs etc. is mandatory for applicant before commencement of programe.
** Deduction as per the rules will be made in the event of cancellation.
** Rang Upvan can not be alote for Musical Morning/Musical Evening OR Such type of Programme.

The Online Hall Booking facility also allows to Manage Booking and register for notification for SMS alert against cancellation. :
** “Manage Booking” section allows to view transaction status. Once can also generate Parvangi Letter after providing the name of the program. It enables cancellation of one or more sessions.
** “Notify Me” option allows to opt for SMS alerts for the availability of currently booked session on its cancellation.

FAQ On SMC

1. Any guidelines for cheques, other do’s and don’ts?
Please make sure that the cheques you are submitting for payment to the corporation are crossed ‘account payee only’ and drawn in the name of Surat Municipal Corporation.

Please also write at the back of the cheque your Tenement Number, Name, Telephone Number.
Please retain the property tax bill and the receipt of the payment, as it may be required for various applications to the corporation.

2. What if my cheque bounces? What are the consequences (both in monetary and non-monetary terms)?
Following are the consequences if your cheque bounces :
18% simple interest and bank charges will be charged if the cheque is dishonoured for any reason whatsoever. You will receive a notice from the Assessment & Recovery Department of the Zone regarding your cheque being dishonoured.

You need to pay the dues including the bank charges in the specified time period. Failing so will invite legal action as per the Section 138(B) of Negotiable Instrument Act and administrative charges of Rs. 1500.

3. What are the modes of payment for the bill? Are credit cards acceptable? Which?
You can pay your payment by cash, cheque (in city), D.D., Postal order. Credit cards are not acceptable.

Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) is the civic body responsible for the administration of Surat city in Gujarat, India. It is one of the largest municipal corporations in India, with a population of over 6 million people.
