How To Apply For e-Health Certificate?

At present this facility is available :
** EU approved sea food processing establishments, for the consignments of Marine Products ( fish & collagen) meant for export to European Union only.

To avail the said e-certification facility the :
approved establishment (if desires to have the health certificate) has to obtain one time Username and Password from their concerned EIA office.

Online Procedure to Apply for Health Certificate

** The approved establishment shall approach the concerned EIA Office for obtaining User Name and Password through a written request by the Head of the Establishment on their letter head. Upon receipt of the written request, EIA shall obtain the User name and Password from EIC which shall be communicated to the establishment on their email id.
** All the processing establishments / merchant exporters can access the e-health certification system using their login details. After logging, establishment/ merchant exporter can view the status of their applications (if any). For detailed procedure refer the user manual.
** All the details marked with * are mandatory fields.
** On submission of application form, an application reference number is generated by the system which can be used by the establishment / merchant exporter for further correspondence with their concerned EIA office.
** Applications for original Health Certificate can be submitted online. For in-lieu and or duplicate certificate, manual application needs to be submitted.
** The approved establishments can avail health certification facility till the validity of the approval. Thereafter their username and password will be disabled automatically, which will be activated after renewal of the approval.

Guidelines for issuance of Health Certificate for fishery products meant For export to countries of the European Union :
1. All consignment of Indian Fishery products exported to the EU are required to be accompanied by a numbered original health certificate, comprising a single sheet duly completed, signed and dated.

The original of the health certificate is required for customs clearance at the destination and shall be made available to the customs authorities at the destination before the arrival of the consignment.

The consignments cannot be cleared on the basis of a copy of the original or on the basis of a fax copy of the original. Health Certificate to be given before shipment & cannot be given retrospectively.

2. Since European Commission has recognized the Export Inspection Council of India of Ministry of Commerce as the competent Authority in India for verifying and certifying compliance of Fishery and Aquacultural Products with the requirements of Directive No 91/493/EEC, all EU approved F&FP establishments are required to obtain Health Certificate from competent authority (EIC/EIAs) only.
