PCPNDT License E-Registration

Please go through the below given instructions before submitting the request for New Registration/Renewal/Machine Inclusion/Name and Address Change.

Apply For PCPNDT License :
Steps for Filling the online E-Registration Form.
** Name of the Proprietor. Enter Hospital Proprietor Name
** Name of the Organization. Enter Full Name of the Hospital to be registered.
** Email-id. Enter a vaild Email-id (preferably general or the hospital proprietor email id)this will be used for further Communication and Updates.
** Mobile No. Enter the Valid Mobile No For Registration updates and further Communication.
** Type of Institution. Select Type of Hospital from the drop down.If any Other Type then select any other from drop down and Enter the type in the text box.
** Type of Ownership. Select Type of Ownership from the drop down.If any Other Type then select any other from drop down
** Full Name and address. Enter the Hospitals Address which will be displayed

Imp Note :
You will be able to upload only PDF documents, so kindly scan all the documents required in the PDF format and the size of each document should be less then 1Mb.

Steps To Upload Documents

** Click on upload document button a pop up will appear in order to upload documents.
** There are 7 Documents Need to be uploaded and all should be in PDF format and lest then 1 MB in size.
** Documents That Needed to be Uploaded are as follows
** Affidavit ( Rs.50/- Stamp Paper, Notarized By The Notary )
** Scanning Doctor Qualification Certificates(Kmc And Ultrasonography Training Certificates In Case Of Mbbs Doctors)
** Owner Qualification Certificates
** Scanning Room Sketch
** Scanning Machine Invoice Copy

Steps for Renewal of E-Registration Form. :
** For License Renewal Click on License Renewal Tab
** Enter Your PCPNDT No and click on submit.
** All the Other information will be same as new License Registration Except payment

Main provisions in the act are : ​​
1. The Act provides for the prohibition of sex selection, before or after conception.

2. It regulates the use of pre-natal diagnostic techniques, like ultrasound and amniocentesis by allowing them their use only to detect :
i. Genetic Abnormalities
ii. Metabolic Disorders
iii. Chromosomal Abnormalities
iv. Certain Congenital Malformations
v. Haemoglobinopathies
vi. Sex Linked Disorders.

3. No laboratory or centre or clinic will conduct any test including ultrasonography for the purpose of determining the sex of the foetus.

4. No person, including the one who is conducting the procedure as per the law, will communicate the sex of the foetus to the pregnant woman or her relatives by words, signs or any other method.

5. Any person who puts an advertisement for pre-natal and pre-conception sex determination facilities in the form of a notice, circular, label, wrapper or any document, or advertises through interior or other media in electronic or print form or engages in any visible representation made by means of hoarding, wall painting, signal, light, sound, smoke or gas, can be imprisoned for up to three years and fined Rs. 10,000.

Compulsory Registration :
The Act mandates compulsory registration of all diagnostic laboratories, all genetic counselling centres, genetic laboratories, genetic clinics and ultrasound clinics.​​

What are the requirements for obtaining a KARHFW PCPNDT License?
To obtain a KARHFW PCPNDT License, the applicant must meet the following requirements:
** Be a citizen of India
** Be a graduate in medicine or a related field
** Have completed a training course in prenatal diagnostic techniques
** Have a valid registration with the Karnataka Medical Council

What is the process for applying for a KARHFW PCPNDT License?
The process for applying for a KARHFW PCPNDT License is as follows:
** The applicant must download the application form from the website of the Karnataka State Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Society.
** The applicant must fill out the application form and submit it along with the required documents to the PCPNDT Society.
** The PCPNDT Society will review the application and issue a license if the applicant meets the requirements.

What are the penalties for violating the KARHFW PCPNDT Act?
The penalties for violating the KARHFW PCPNDT Act are as follows:
** For the first offense, a fine of up to Rs. 1 lakh and/or imprisonment for up to 3 years.
** For the second offense, a fine of up to Rs. 2 lakh and/or imprisonment for up to 5 years.
** For the third and subsequent offenses, a fine of up to Rs. 5 lakh and/or imprisonment for up to 10 years.
