IRCTC Tourism Booking Procedure

Standard of Service : We will supply the service to you with reasonable care and skill.
Service Hours: Booking through Internet is allowed 24 Hrs.

** Register as an individual. Registration is FREE.
** Login by entering your user name and password.
** The “Plan my travel” page appears.
** If the From/To station selected by you are correct in the route of the train then Select e-Ticket option.

How To Book Your Ticket?

Step 1 : Select From Station
Step 2 : Select To Station
Step 3 : Select Date
Step 4 : Select Classes
Step 5 : Click on Find Train Option

** To find train list, click on “Submit” option.
** The List of Trains show the number of trains available for that route.
** If you wish to know the route and the timings, click on the train name under the “List of Trains” option.

** To get the fare, click on class available in the selected train under “List of Trains”. It will show fare according to type of class selected. The fare appearing is for a single adult Passenger and the service charges charged by IRCTC.

** To select the train from the train list, click on the type of class available in the selected train.
** If you will click on the class in the train list then it will show the train details with availability.

** To book tickets, click on “Book Now” button under availability option.
** If you wish to select other train, click on “RESET” button.

How To Check PNR Status?

** Enter the PNR for your booking below to get the current status. You will find it on the top left corner of the ticket.
Step 1 : Enter PNR No.
Step 2 : Click on submit button.

** If you want to book Retiring Room at source/originating station then click on ‘Book on source’ or if you want to book Retiring Room at destination station then click on ‘Book on destination’.

** Choose your Reservation source , Check in Date , Checkout date , Bed Type and A/C status.
** After Clicking “Book on source” if your Reservation Station does not show then click on “Book on Source Principal” or After Clicking “Book on Destination” if your Reservation Station does not show then click on “Book on Destination Principal”.

** After filling in all the details Please click on “Check Availability”.
** It will show the occupancy availability with details.
** Select the Room no and Slot Duration that you would like to book. After selecting, click on “Proceed”.

** It will redirect you to login page, login with your user name & password registered with IRCTC.If you are not registered user choose “Guest login”.
** You will get the complete booking details.

** For each passenger select “Room no” in which he/she would like to accommodate.
** Then select the Id card type and card No.
** Click on Proceed button.

** It will show complete booking details.
** Click on “Make Payment” for payment.
** Select you payment option.
Deduction of 50% on cancellation within a period of less than 48 hrs to the day of occupation

How to Cancel?

** Login with your user id and password if you have booked with your Registered user account.

** If you have booked with guest login then login with your Email id and Mobile no.
** After login scroll down the page and select “Booked Ticket” option.
** Then select “Retiring Room Booked Ticket Option”
** Select your ticket which is to be cancelled and click on the cancel ticket option.

FAQ On Railways Retiring Room

1.What is Railways Retiring Room?
Railways Retiring Rooms are rooms which are available on Railway Stations across India, They are available in Single, Double and Dormitory type of occupancy with AC and Non AC combination.

2.What is the duration of Booking ?
Minimum 12 Hrs to Maximum 48 Hrs.

3.What are the rules for Cancellation of Retiring Rooms?
** Deduction of 10% on cancellation in advance of 48 hrs of the day of occupation.
** Deduction of 50% on cancellation within a period of less than 48 hrs to the day of occupation.

** Deduction of 100% on cancellation on the day of occupation.
** Passenger wise cancellation is not allowed , only Room wise cancellation is allowed.

** If more than one room/dormitory is booked and cancellation is being done for few room/dormitory then cancellation rule 1, 2 and 3 will be applicable for room/dormitory as per case.

4. How would be the room Accommodation?
Permissible combinations as are under :
** For one passenger, one Single Bed Room or One Double Bed Room or One Bed in Dormitory can be can be allocated.
** For two passengers, One Double Bed Room or Two Bed in Dormitory can be allocated.

** For three passengers, (one Double Bed Room + One Single Bed Room) or Three Bed in Dormitory can be allocated.
** For four passengers, Two Double Bed Rooms or Four bed in Dormitory can be allocated.

** For five passengers, Two Double Bed Rooms or Five bed in Dormitory can be allocated.
** For Six passengers, Two Double Bed Rooms or Six bed in Dormitory can be allocated.
