SW Hostel Admission & Attendance Monitoring System

The Department of Social Welfare is maintaining 1157 Pre-Matric hostels, providing boarding and lodging facilities to Scheduled Caste students studying from V to X Std.

Initially, these hostels were started in concerned District Headquarters. Later, the Hostel facilities were extended to the Taluk Head quarters. Now keeping in view of the demand, more Hostels are being started every year even at Hobli head quarters and big villages

Who Can Apply?

** Whose Family Income is below 2.5 Lakhs for Postmatric and below 6 Lakhs for Prematric.
** Students who are currently studying.
** Students who are currently studying above SSLC / 10th class.
** Students residing in Karnataka.

How To Apply?

Follow the steps mentioned below to register online to avail Hostel Facility.
Steps :
Step-1 : Logon to SWD Hostel Admission official website through Above URL,Click on the Application Tab in home Page, then select hostel admission tab in drop down list.

Step-2 : Then go to the ‘Registration’ link.

Step-3 : Click on the ‘Register’ link under ‘Postmatric or Prematric ’ heading.

Step-4 : Then enter your Aadhaar Number and Name as per printed in your Aadhaar card. Select your Gender and then solve the simple addition problem provided in the register page just for verification.

Step-5: After that, read the declaration and check the box and then submit the ‘Proceed’ button and do the further process to complete the registration.

Registration Procedure

Registration :
** Using your Aadhaar Card Number Regsiter with us providing all required Information.

Confirmation :
** After Registration, get the acknowledgement signed from your Institution Head and provide to Taluk SWD Office.

Verification :
** Department will Verify your documents and information provided by you and proceed it to further process.

Allotment :
** If you are an eligible student you will Get Hostel Alloted to you based on verification and confirmation will be sent to you.

Required Informations

Aadhaar Number :
** Provide your Aadhaar Number and Name as in your Aadhar card.

Caste Certificate Number :
** 15 digits RD number of your caste certificate.

Income Certificate Number :
** 15 digits RD number of your income certificate.

Last Passed Marks Card :
** Upload scanned image of Recently passed marks card. Size of document should not exceed 1mb.

Profile Photo :
** Upload scanned image of your passport size photo. Size should not exceed 1mb.

Mobile Number :
** Provide your currently active mobile number for further communications with you.

Description

All these Hostels are run under the control of the Taluk Social Welfare Office/District Social Welfare Office. Each hostel is looked after by a Hostel Superintendent, supported by cooks and kitchen servants/ watchman etc, depending on the strength of the hostels.

The Superintendents are qualified with a degree and B.Ed. The sanctioned strength of Pre-Matric Hostels varies between a minimum of 50 strength to a maximum of 550 Facilities available :

The expenditure for each of the facilities available in Pre-Matric Hostels is given below. Facilities Available : T

he expenditure for each of the facilities available in Pre-Matric Hostels is given below:- Food Charges (monthly) – Rs. 450.00 – 2 sets of dresses (annually) – Rs. 350.00 – Text Books & stationery (annually) – Rs.250.00 – Beds and bed sheets (once in 3 years) – Rs.400.00 – Miscellaneous expenses (monthly) – Rs. 40.00 .

Hair cutting charges (for boys only, annually) – Rs. 60.00 – Part-time tutors to teach hostellers. – Rs.500 per month/tutor For every hostel, 3 tutors are appointed to teach Science, math’s and general subjects like English (for 6 months from oct to March).

News papers and weekly magazines – Rs. 1000.00 (annual charges) Medical expenses (annual charges) – Rs. 1000.00 Maintaince of utensils and kitchen items (annual) – Rs. 600.00 Electricity and water bill charges (monthly) – RS.1000.00 Sports items purchased during starting of Hostels. – Rs. 1000.00
