Closure of Water Connection

A citizen can close a water tap connection in case the tap is not being used or the citizen has an independent water source. WCIS enables you to either temporarily or permanently close a water tap connection from the system.

Note : Application for closing a water tap connection is accepted only if there are no dues on the respective HSC Number.

Initiating Closure of Connection :
Closure of connection can be initiated in any of the following ways :
a) Citizen Service Centre (CSC)
b) Online request submitted by Citizen.

Transaction Initiation by Clerk :
Perform the following steps to close a water tap connection :
1. Open View Application form, by using the following path and then providing the H.S.C Number. Applications > Water Charges Management > Transactions > Create Closure of Connection

2. Enter closure of connection details in the form as described as follows,
Connection Type :
Select if the closure of connection is Temporary or Permanent.
Note
: If the type selected is Temporary, then the citizen can apply for reconnection at any time

Reasons for closure of connection :
Specify the reasons for requesting for a closing the water tap connection If the closure is temporary, select Temporary

Workflow for Closure of Connection :
Once the details for closure of connection are entered and forwarded by the Clerk, the following steps are performed. For more details on forwarding, rejecting, or approving, refer Workflow Reviews/Approval on page 16.

1. Assistant Engineer approves the details, ensures that there are no dues on the respective water tap connection, and forwards the transaction to the Commissioner.
2. Commissioner approves the transaction For more details on approving or rejecting a transaction, refer Workflow Reviews/Approval on page 16.

3. Clerk generates Acknowledgement Notice and forwards it to the citizen. The system automatically stops generating water charges and Demand Notice for that connection.

Reconnecting a Water Tap Connection :
A water tap connection that was temporarily closed by a citizen, can be revived by requesting for a reconnection. WCIS provides you with the option to re-activate the record of a temporarily closed water tap connection.

Initiating Reconnection :
Reconnection can be initiated in any of the following ways :
c) Citizen Service Centre (CSC)
d) Online request submitted by Citizen

Workflow for Reconnection :
Once the details for reconnection of water tap are entered and forwarded by the Clerk, the following steps are performed. For more details on forwarding, rejecting, or approving, refer Workflow Reviews/Approval on page 16.

1. Assistant Engineer approves the details and forwards the transaction to the Commissioner.
Note : Assistant Engineer can change the application details based on the field verification. Remarks are mandatory in case the details are modified.

2. Commissioner approves the transaction. For more details on approving or rejecting a transaction, refer Workflow Reviews/Approval on page 16. Transaction is closed once it is approved or rejected. For more details, refer Transaction Closure on page 18

    Very irresponsible office towards the closeure of our water connection even after submitting the application two times in the year 2020 march , now they generated water bill of 2200
