  1. I am on b2 visa and have applied for green card. My Indian passport expires in Jan 2016. Can I get temporary re-issue of passport in U.S? If yes ,what documents are required?

    1. Applicants who wish to apply for the renewal/re-issue of a passport must wait 10 years from the date of issue before a new application can be submitted. Indication of the date of expiration is denoted by the term ‘Final’ or ‘F’ after the date of expiry, e.g. 11.9.2007 (Final) or 11.9.2007 (F). Applications can be submitted no more than one year before the current passport’s date of expiration.
