KSRTC is issuing Bus passes to Students of recognized schools / colleges are issued free / concessional passes to travel from their residence to the school / college within the limit of 60 Kms.

Just follow the simple steps mentioned below to apply for “KSRTC Student Bus Pass” online.

Step-2: Scroll down and Click on the “Apply Now” link.

Step-3: Registration form will open. Enter your Personal Details, Educational Details, Pass Details

Step-4: Upload your Photo. (Image Size less than 50KB,.jpg/.jpeg format only)
Step-5 : Finally hit the “submit” button.

Bus Pass For Others

Concession To Senior Citizens

** Senior Citizens (aged 60 years or above) – 25% concession in basic fare is allowed for residents of Karnataka State.
** This concession is limited to Rajahamsa and lower class of services only.

Senior Citizens, during the journey need to produce any one of the following Identity proof in original to avail the concession:
a. Passport issued by the Government of India,
b. Voter ID card issued by Election Commission
c. Aadhaar card indicating Date of birth
d. Driving License
e. Identity card indicating Date of Birth and Residential address, issued by various Departments of Government of India, PSU’s / Corporations of Government of India.
f. NREGA card indicating Date of Birth and Residential address
g. Identity card indicating Date of Birth and Residential address, issued by various Departments of Government of Karnataka, PSU’s / Corporations of Government of Karnataka
h. Identity card issued by the Physically Challenged and Senior Citizens Welfare Directorate
i. Senior citizen Identity Card issued by KSRTC.

Passes To Physically Challenged Persons

KSRTC is issuing concessional passes to Physically challenged persons, residents of Karnataka State.

Details are as below:
** The pass rate for Physically Challenged Persons is Rs.660/- per annum as decided by the Government of Karnataka.
** These passes will be issued to persons with disability of 40% and above covering visual, hearing, Amblyopia, Mental disorder, Dementia, Loco Moto Disability, Leprosy infected patients.
** These pass holders are allowed to travel in City, Suburban, Ordinary and Express routes of KSRTC, BMTC, NEKRTC and NWKRTC buses with in the limit of 100 kms from the place of residence.

Pass Issue Procedure:
** To avail new pass and also renewal of the pass, beneficiary should be personally present and submit the original Disability card for verification.
** The person who is having disability explained above should fill the application form available at the concerned Divisional Offices.
** Application should be attached with necessary documents like Disability certificate cum ID card issued by District welfare office of Disabled persons & Senior citizens with certified by minimum 02 Medical Officers viz Chairman / members of District Medical Board where beneficiary is living.
** Passes will be renewed every year from 1st January to 28th February.
** New pass will be issued to the beneficiaries throughout the year subject to meeting the eligibility criteria.

Passes to Blind

KSRTC is issuing free travel passes to fully Blind persons, residents of Karnataka State.

Details are as below:
** Blind passes are issued free of cost.
** These passes are issued to 100% blind persons only.
** These pass holders are allowed to travel in City, Suburban, Ordinary and Express buses of KSRTC, BMTC, NWKRTC and NEKRTC.
** These pass holders are allowed to travel anywhere within the state and interstate buses also.
** Other details are given in GSO No. 777/2016 dated 30-11-2016.

Pass Issue Procedure:
** The person who is having full blind should fill the application form available at concerned Divisional Offices.
** Application should be attached with necessary documents like Full Blind certificate cum ID card with seal and sign issued by District welfare office of Disabled persons & Senior citizens with certified by minimum 02 Medical Officers of Primary level / Taluk level / District level / Bangalore Medical Board.

What are the Types of KSRTC Bus Passes?

There are two types of Bus Passes provided by KSRTC

Monthly Pass

** KSRTC is issuing monthly passes at concessional rates to passengers travelling between two places on a daily basis like employees, students, traders etc.
** These passes are issued at all bus stations. The Monthly passes are valid for travel along with Identity card issued by KSRTC.
** Photo-Identity cards valid for one year are issued by KSRTC by collecting Rs.50/- per card.
** Monthly passes issued for Express services are valid for travel in both Express and Ordinary services.
** Monthly passes issued for Ordinary services are valid for travel in Ordinary services only.

Daily Pass

Daily passes valid for the day are issued for the benefit of passengers to travel in Mysore City limits. Daily passes are valid for travel along with Identity card issued by KSRTC.

Here are the steps on how to apply for a KSRTC student bus pass online:
1) Go to the Seva Sindhu portal: https://sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in/.
2) Click on the “Student Bus Pass” link.
3) Click on the “New Application” button.
4) Enter your details in the application form.
5) Upload the required documents.
6) Pay the application fee.
7) Submit the application form.

The required documents are:
1) Aadhar card of student
2) Resident Certificate of the student
3) Income Certificate of the Student
4) Caste Certificate of the Student
5) Active Mobile Number of Student
6) Passport Size Photo of Student

The application fee is Rs. 30/- for students who apply through Karnataka-One, Grama-One & Bangalore-One centers. There is no application fee if you apply through the Seva Sindhu portal. Once your application is approved, you will receive an SMS with the name and address of the counter where you can collect your bus pass. You can pay the prescribed fee at the counter and collect your bus pass.

The following are the steps on how to apply for a KSRTC student bus pass offline:
1) Go to the nearest KSRTC bus stand.
2) Visit the “Student Pass Counter”.
3) Fill out the application form.
4) Submit the application form along with the required documents.
5) Pay the application fee.
6) Collect your bus pass.

The required documents are the same as the online application. The application fee is Rs. 30/- for offline applications. The validity of the student bus pass is one academic year. You can apply for a renewal of your pass before the expiry date.
