Registration Of Job Seekers :

Submit the following certificates for registration in original-
** Age proof certificate

Related : Andaman & Nicobar Renewal of Licence Under Factories/Contract Labour/Motor Transport Workers/ISMW : www.statusin.in/18331.html

** Educational qualification certificate or mark sheet or transfer certificate St/ local certificate if applicable)
** If the candidate is handicapped furnish a certificate issued by the medical board showing the % of disability
** If the candidate is illiterate an affidavit of age proof in this regard has to he obtained from the executive magistrate
** Ex-servicemen has to produce a discharge certificate.
** Registration cards issued to the candidates are called index card and they are in there different forms mentioned as under :-

Vocational Guidance :
One vocational guidance unit is set up in the employment exchange to give assistance to an individual in solving problems related to occupational choice and occupational opportunities

The vocational guidance unit imparts various guidance programmes namely :
** Pre- registration guidance
** Registration guidance
** Group discussions
** Individual guidance

Career Guidance :
The employment exchange organises career guidance programmes to help students as well as unemployed youth to choose a better career

Change of address in index cards & registration particulars :
The registrant should submit an application to the employment officer indicating the new address. The new address will be entered in the index card after verifying the signatures of the registrant in the application and the index card.

Issue of duplicate identity card :
The registrant should submit an application an application along with all original certificates to the employment officer indicating the reasons for asking for duplicate identity card. The registration particulars and the registrant’s signatures in the index card and identity card shall be verified with the original certificates and then only if found genuine, a duplicate identity card shall be issued.

Transfer of registration :
** Submit an application for transfer of registration along with residential address and the address of the nearest employment exchange.
** On receiving the application , the employment exchange transfers the candidates index card to the employment exchange office for which transfer has been requested in the application.
** The candidate will be informed of such transfer by sending a copy of transfer letter.

Guidance for physically handicapped candidates :
Handicapped person includes any person who is-
** Blind
** Deaf
** Orthopaedically handicapped

Unemployment Certificate :
Any unemployed candidate who has registered his name in the employment exchange and wants to start his own business by obtaining loans can apply for unemployment certificate by submitting a simple application.
