What is Kerala Covid-19 Ex-Gratia Payment?

A mechanism for submitting an application for ex-gratia compensation to the district disaster management authority and providing ex-gratia assistance to the family of a person who has died due to Covid-19 in the state as per the guidelines framed by the central and state governments.

How To Submit Covid-19 Ex-Gratia Payment Claim?

Follow the below steps to Submit Covid-19 Ex-Gratia Payment Claim online.

Step-1 : Go to the link https://www.relief.kerala.gov.in/reliefportal/index.php
Step-2 : Enter Applicant Name
Step-3 : Enter Phone Number
Strep-4 : Click on “Get OTP” button

Submit Your Claim:
Information can be added using the death declaration document number included in the Covid-19 Death Information Portal

Verification of Claims:
The concerned Village Officer will verify the documents submitted by the applicant and submit the report to the District Disaster Management Authority.

Acknowledgment of Claims :
The District Disaster Management Authority will verify the application and give final approval.

Funding Into The Bank Account Of The Deserving:
₹ 50,000 will be transferred directly to the bank account of the relatives of those who died due to Covid-19.

Note:
** As per government order, “Death Declaration Document” issued by Kerala Health and Family Welfare Department can be submitted for ex gratia payment.
** Status of submitted claims can be checked in “Status Verification”.
** ₹ 5,000 per month will be available directly in the bank account for three years for below poverty line families.

Covid-19 Death Appeal

If the details of the deceased person cannot be found in the Covid19 Death Information System, an appeal can be submitted.

Appeal Request : https://covid19.kerala.gov.in/deathinfo/appealRequestLogin.jsp

Note:
** Submit appeal request only if details of deceased person are not found in “Covid Death Declaration List”.
** The appeal request will be sent to the institution that “confirmed” the death for verification and verification, and after verification will be forwarded to the District Covid Death Verification Committee (CDAC) for approval.
** Appeal request will be reviewed based on new ICMR guidelines and ICMR certificate will be issued to the family after approval.
** As per Government order, “Death Declaration Document” issued by Kerala Health and Family Welfare Department can be submitted for ex gratia payment.
** Use “ICMR CERTIFICATE REQUEST” option for new certificate format.

Mandatory information required for submission of appeal request:
** LSGD death registration key number and certificate copy.
** Copy of hospital records obtained from the institution where the death was confirmed.
** Details of deceased person
** Applicant information
