To Apply For KNMC Renewal, Follow the below steps

Step-1 : Go to the link https://knmc.org/CertificateHome_Renewal.aspx
Step-2 : Click on the link “Application”
Step-3 : Select the Course
Step-4 : Enter the Fee Amount
Step-5 : Select the Type of Renewal and Proceed further to renew KNMC certificate

Instructions On KNMC Renewal

** Applicants with registration certificate belonging from 1990 to 2012 and renewed through Online from 01/05/2015 onwards can submit online application for second renewal by selecting Type of Renewal as ‘Re-Renewal of Online Renewed Registration from May 2015’ and entering their Previous Date of Renewal and Previous Renewal Serial Number.

** Applicants those who have not yet renewed their registration certificates belonging from 1990-2012 have to do their initial renewal by selecting Type of Renewal as ‘First Online Renewal of Registration’.

** Similarly applicants with registration certificate belonging from 2013-2015 can apply for renewal as and when the date of registration expire by selecting Type of Renewal as ‘First Online Renewal of Registration’.

**For renewal of registration certificates issued after 29/05/2014, the Kerala Registration Number type will be Single Registration and you must strictly enter only single registration number in the application form.

** If your Registration Number in Certificate starts with KL,you must give entry in Single Registration Number field starting with KL exactly as given in Registration Certificate and your data will be displayed automatically upon clicking ‘Proceed to Application Entry’ link. If you fail to do so, we would be unable to process your application.

** Please read Page 3 in the Instructions to know about fee amount for each type of registration and proceed with the application submission only if fee amount displayed in page is correct.

** Fee will not be refunded and application will not be further processed by council if fee is found incorrect.

About KNMC :
Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council (KNMC) is an autonomous statutory body constituted by the Government of Kerala under the provisions of Nurses and Midwives Act 1953. As per G.O.(MS) No: 559/2008/H&FWD dated 03-11-2008, the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council was separated from the Travancore-Cochin Medical Councils and is functioning independently under the Registrar from Nursing Profession. Dr. Kochuthresiamma Thomas was the first Registrar. Mini. P. P. is the present Registrar.

The main Functions of KNMC are:
** Establishment and maintenance of uniform standards of nursing education in Kerala.
** Registration of successful candidates from Kerala as Registered Nurse – Registered Midwife (RN RM).
** Reciprocal registration of candidates who have acquired educational qualification from recognized institutions of other states.
** Renewal of Registration on expiry of validity.
** Verification of Registration and Diploma certificates from authorities inside and outside India.
** Approval of Colleges and Schools of Nursing and withdrawal of recognition in case if the institution fails to maintain standards.
** Conduct of undergraduate programmes like General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) and Post Basic Diploma in Nursing Clinical Specialties.
** Conduct of examinations for GNM, ANM, Post Basic Diploma in Specialty Nursing and female Health Supervisor programmes.
** Organization of Continuing Education Programme for Nursing Professionals.
** Award of credit hours for CNE Programmes organized by Educational Institutions and Hospitals for the purpose of Renewal of Registration.

The Council:
** ** The Council consists of elected and nominated members. The Government nominates the President. The Registrar is the Secretary of the Council.

Various Committees:
Education Committee: Deals with matters related to conduct of examination and policy matters concerning nursing education.

Scrutiny Committee: Scrutinizes the Inspection Reports of Colleges and Schools of Nursing and gives report to the Council.

Board of Examiners: Consists of President and Board Members. It deals with matters related to examination and publication of results.
