** Online service
** Vehicle related service
** Select State Odisha
** Put vehicle number
** Icon-for Application for Fitness Renewal
** PUT vehicle number
** Put last 5 digit of chassis number
** OTP will be received in Mobile
** Enter the OTP
** Then you can able to make application and pay fee Online
** After successful transaction wait 2 minutes for receipt generation.
** Print the application
** Book a Slot for Inspection of Vehicle
** Submit at RTO office with vehicle for inspection by IMV.

About Road Safety:
Road Traffic accidents are among the top five causes of morbidity and mortality in the Southeast Asian Countries. Road traffic Accidents in India are emerging as the major cause of death and injury with subsequent disability and burden on economy and strength on the economy.

It is fact that Road Traffic accidents are one of the major cause of death and illness which is preventable. The rise in the Road traffic Accident are due to increase in vehicular volume on our roads, incredible speeding of the vehicles, poor driving skills, drunken driving, bad roads, poor traffic controls and lack of public awareness, rampant indiscipline.

So Road Safety plays a very crucial role in all round development of the Country / State. Road safety refers to the methods and measures used to prevent road users from being killed or seriously injured. Road users include both drivers as well as pedestrians and cyclists (the so-called ‘vulnerable road users’). Their behavior of the road users is the area with by far the biggest potential for improving road safety. Indeed, 90% of all road accidents today are linked to human error.

Regional Transport Office (RTO):
There are 35 RTOs and 3 ARTOs distributed geographically in the state of Orissa keeping the public convenience in mind and vehicle population within the region. The staffing pattern of each RTO includes one Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Inspector of Motor Vehicle IMV, Addl RTO (Enforcement), Addl RTO (General), Asst RTO, Asst. MVIs, Jr. MVIs, Traffic Inspectors, Traffic Sub-Inspectors, OMVD Constables (Enforcement) and Ministerial Staff. RTO is in overall charge of transport administration in the region. They act as the key personnel in field offices to enforce the Motor Vehicle Act and Rules.

Border Check Gates:
There are 13 border check gates, but they are no more manned by OMVD personnels since 31/03/2017 so as to facilitate hassel-free and quick transit of inter-state vehicles. But the inter-state check-gates are essential while keeping a check on count of passengers and vehicles entering the state.

Driving Training School:
There is one Government runned Driving Training School under the administrative control of OMV department which is located at Bhubaneswar. The school headed by Principal, imparts training to unemployed youths for self-employment, direct employment and income generation. There are many private driving schools duly authorized by STA.
