** Online service
** Vehicle related service
** Select State Odisha
** Put vehicle number
** Icon-for RC PARTICULAR
** PUT vehicle no
** Put last 5 digit of chasis no
** OTP will received in Mobile
** Enter the OTP
** Then you can able to make application and pay fee
** After successful transaction wait 2 minutes for receipt generation.
** Print the application
** Print the RC certified copy

How To Do RC Cancellation?

The vehicle owner may submit the following document for cancellation/ de-registration at RTO Offices where the Vehicle is registered.

1. Fill up the prescribe application and submit it at Concerned RTO.
2. Original registration certificate.
3. Piece of chassis number from the body.
4. Undertaking regarding no any Court cases/ Hypothecation Agreement / against the vehicle.
5. Arrear & Challan clearance.
6. Tax clearance report from Accounts.

Note: The cancellation can be processed only after the Physical verification of the Vehicle.

** Click on “Online Service”
** Vehicle related service
** Select State Odisha
** Put vehicle number
** Icon-for Withdrawal of Application
** Put Vehicle no
** Enter last 5 digit of chassis no
** Application no
** OTP will be received in Mobile
** Enter the OTP
** Then you can able to dispose of the application.

Regional Transport Office (RTO):
There are 35 RTOs and 3 ARTOs distributed geographically in the state of Orissa keeping the public convenience in mind and vehicle population within the region. The staffing pattern of each RTO includes one Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Inspector of Motor Vehicle IMV, Addl RTO (Enforcement), Addl RTO (General), Asst RTO, Asst. MVIs, Jr. MVIs, Traffic Inspectors, Traffic Sub-Inspectors, OMVD Constables (Enforcement) and Ministerial Staff. RTO is in overall charge of transport administration in the region. They act as the key personnel in field offices to enforce the Motor Vehicle Act and Rules.

Border Check Gates:
There are 13 border check gates, but they are no more manned by OMVD personnels since 31/03/2017 so as to facilitate hassel-free and quick transit of inter-state vehicles. But the inter-state check-gates are essential while keeping a check on count of passengers and vehicles entering the state.

Driving Training School:
There is one Government runned Driving Training School under the administrative control of OMV department which is located at Bhubaneswar. The school headed by Principal, imparts training to unemployed youths for self-employment, direct employment and income generation. There are many private driving schools duly authorized by STA.
