Security Deposit
All Domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) consumers are eligible for refund of interest free Security Deposit under the following conditions:

Security Deposit shall be refunded in full, irrespective of the status of connection, subject to receipt of the following:
** Refund request letter from the customer
** PNG equipment’s from the premises (flat / kitchen) of the customer, if applicable.
** Payment towards disconnection charges as per prevailing rate and all other applicable dues

Other Reasons:
** In case premise of the customer is found technically not feasible for supplying PNG.
** In case of non-availability of necessary statutory permissions.
** If the customer wishes to withdraw his application, any time during the process
** Any other reasons as and when specified by Statutory Authorities in its notifications.

Billing:
** If the extra amount received, is less than total of last 3 bills (up to Rs 1500/-), then it will be adjusted in upcoming billing cycle(s).
** If the extra amount received is more than Rs 1500/-, then refund will be issued subject to receipt of a written request of the customer.
** All decisions related to refund will be at the sole discretion of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.

1.What is the difference between PNG and LPG?
LPG is Liquefied Petroleum Gas and PNG is Piped Natural Gas. LPG is supplied in liquid form just as the name suggests in cylinders whereas PNG is supplied through a pipeline.

2.How can I avail the PNG Gas supply?
Availing the gas supply is a simple process. The process includes
** Registration process
** Agreement signing and necessary document submission
** Fixed Amount Payment

Note:
Once you have completed the registration formalities by filling in the form and agreement document and pay the fixed amount to the Gas Company, the connection will be provided to you by securing necessary permission and lay the pipeline. A meter, a valve and a regulator will be installed in your house. Once this process is over, you will have uninterrupted supply of safe fuel gas available for your requirements.

3. Do I need to make any changes to my gas stove for using PNG gas?
Yes, you have to make some very basic changes to your stove which shall be carried out by the authorized technician at the time of the connection.

4.What do I have to do with my LPG cylinder once I get the PNG connection?
You will have to return the cylinder to your current gas supplying company after which you will get your deposit refund back from them.

5. How, when and where should my gas bill be paid?
You will receive your gas bill at a fixed date. Once you receive the bill, you will have to deposit the bill amount before the due date at the place indicated therein by cash/Cheque/Online only.

6. Is it possible to make any changes in my gas line, if required?
Yes, changes required by you for your gas line are possible. Once you make an application for your required changes, the Company will then let you know the estimated cost that needs to be deposited for work to begin.

7.Can I get more than one point for PNG?
Yes, you can get more than one point for your gas connection. For this you will have to make an application in writing and then deposit the amount estimated by the Company authorized personnel. Once this is done, we will provide you with a multiple points for your gas connection, subject to the safety criteria.

8. Can I get the connection, if I live in a rented house?
Yes, you can have a connection even if you live in a rented house. However, for this the landlord, the owner of the house will have to make an application or if you want to apply for it you will have to get a No Objection Certificate from the owner for the same.

9. What do I need to provide to get a PNG Gas connection?
You have to submit a photocopy of any two of the following documents:
** Most recent electricity bill
** Most recent telephone bill (BSNL)
** Passport
** Ration Card
** Most recent house tax bill
** Certificate from the Society

10. In case I notice any leakage in the line, what should I do?
In case of any leakage, you must inform the office of the Company without any further delay. An authorized technician will come and check the connection and pipeline and rectify any leakage or issues with the connection. You have to inform the local/city station emergency phone number for immediate assistance.
