How to book a Ticket Chandigarh Transport?
To book a Online Ticket Follow the steps given below,
Step 1) Open ctuonline.chd.gov.in Portal and click on “Book Ticket” link.
Step 2) Enter the Username, Password and Captcha in Registered User Section, then click on “Login”.
Step 3) After successful Login, You will be redirected to the Traveller Dashboard, by two ways you can search the bus service, either you can select the “Book Ticket” option from Left Menu or search the service from “Book Ticket” section on the dashboard, Enter the From Station, To Station and Journey Date and Click On Search Icon.
Step 4) From the List of Service(s), click on “Book Now” Button of Suitable Service from the List.
Step 5) Select the seat(s) from the Bus Layout (as per the Image) and Enter the Details(Name, Gender, Age and Concession) of the Traveller(s), Accept the Terms and Conditions and Click on “Pay And Proceed” Button.
Step 6) Details of the Ticket will be shown, If the Details are correct, Please Click on “Confirm and Proceed to Pay” Button for Payment.
Step 7) Please select payment option, Proceed as per instructions of Payment gateway and make payment.
Step 8) After successful payment, Ticket will be generated and can be printed.
How to Cancel a Ticket?
Step 1) Login with your registered username and password.
Step 2) Go to “Cancel Ticket” option on Left Menu Panel, Select the Ticket, which you want to Cancel from the list of Ticket(s) Available for Cancellation.
Step 3) After that, detail of Your Ticket will appear, You can select one or more seat(s) for cancellation, after selecting the seat(s), Click on “Cancel Ticket” button.
Step 4) Confirmation Screen will appear, If you are sure for cancellation then click on “Yes” otherwise click on “No”.
Step 5) After confirmation, Ticket will be cancelled, a Cancellation Voucher will get generated. Your refund amount will be credited in your Account as per the Cancellation Policy of CTU OBRMS.
Step 6) You may print the Cancellation Voucher.

How many days before can I reserve e-ticket?
You can reserve your e-ticket through internet 10 days in advance. Seat reservation booking facility will be closed before 1 hour from schedule departure time of bus service.
I’ve lost my ticket what do I do now?
A copy of the ticket would have been sent to you by e-mail when you booked the ticket. Please take a printout of that mail and produce it at the time of boarding.
If you have not received your ticket to the mail ID you provided, we have flexibility that you will receive a message directly to your mobile from CTU immediately after booking ticket, you can give the PNR Number in website and you can take a printout.Further you can also show some SMS while boarding the bus.
I could not register my User Id, so what can I do for reservations ticket?
Book ticket through Guest user. Registration is not mandatory, you can book now as Guest user, For Guest user Valid mobile number or valid mail id is required.
How I register my User Id for reservations/booking e-ticket?
For registration use valid e mail and valid mobile numbers.
Is it mandatory to take a printout of the e-ticket?
Passengers are requested to furnish the following at the time of boarding the bus(Failing to do so, they may not be allowed to board the bus).
(i) A copy of the ticket or SMS or E-Ticket.
(ii) Identity proof.(Driving licence/Student ID Card/Passport/PAN Card/Voter ID Card/Aadhar Card etc.)
(iii) If you have opted for Sr. Citizen Concession, you need to carry a valid ID Card, issued by the Social welfare department, Chandigarh Administration. Otherwise full fare (i.e difference in fare)will be charged.
How many passengers travel with single reservation e-ticket?
Maximum of six seats can be booked on a single e-ticket.
During journey, with “e-Ticket”, passenger has to show the Original photo Identity Card?
Yes, the on-duty Conductor will verify the original photo Identity Card of the passenger. If the passenger fails to produce the specified Identity Proof in original during the journey, the ticket will be treated as INVALID and the passenger will be treated as “Travelling without Ticket”. Photocopies of Identity proof are not allowed.
From where I get e-ticket?
After successful on line transaction this e-Ticket will be sent to passenger’s e-mail address provided in his profile at the time of Registration. He can get the printout of this e-ticket from his mail or take print out of ticket after login.
Child Ticket online Reservations?
Children less than the age of 6 years are allowed to travel free without providing any seat. Children of age 6 years or above and less than 12 years half of the fare will be charged and will be given seat.
Sr. Citizen Online Ticket Reservations?
If you have opted for Sr. Citizen Concession, you need to carry a valid ID Card, issued by the Social welfare department, Chandigarh Administration. Otherwise full fare (i.e difference in fare)will be charged.
Can I cancel the ticket?
Yes. The tickets booked through CTU online can be cancelled. Money is transferred back to the passenger’s Credit/Debit card account/ Net banking account. Can I allow to change the date, time of journey, name, gender, age, etc.?
Once you have booked your e-ticket, you will not be allowed to change the date and time of journey. You cannot replace the name, gender, age, etc. In such case you will have to cancel e-ticket first and re-book with the desired date, time, etc.
How refund of fare will be done in case of cancellation of e-ticket?
Refund of fare will be made through respective bank account only within 7days from the date of cancellation. No cash refund will be given to passengers directly for cancellation of e-ticket.
Cancel ticket reservation fee refundable or not?
Reservation Fee is non-refundable except in case of 100 % cancellation of tickets, if the service is cancelled by CTU for operational or any other reasons
When cancel ticket refund amount not received after cancelation of ticket?
Passengers will be refunded normally in 7 days, after the cancellation of ticket. If refunds are delayed more than 7 days, passengers may contact helpline number at 1800 180 2051 or E-Mail firstname.lastname@example.org or Toll Free No at 1800 180 2051
Can I cancel my ticket partial or not?
Partial cancellation is allowed, for which cancellation terms & conditions will apply.
If trip cancel and postpone or breakdown by CTU?
The trips are subject to cancellation or postponement due to reasons beyond the control of CTU. Under such circumstances, passengers will be intimated through email/phone as soon as possible and the ticket amount will be refunded. In case of breakdown no refund will be given.
How the cancel refund amount we got ?
All e-Ticket cancellation refunds may process through payment gateway, i.e. passenger may get refund amount in their bank account/card /wallet through which they book ticket
Can I cancel my ticket through email ?
No Email request will be entertained for the cancellation of tickets. User only cancels their ticket by their user ID only.
When I cancel my ticket?
Cancellation of E-Tickets can only be done online by the user up to 3 hours prior to the departure time of the bus (from the originating station of the route). Within 3 hours prior to the Departure Time of the Bus from Originating Station of the route, e-Tickets cannot be cancelled through any mode i.e. Online or CTU Counters. After departure of the bus from originating station of the route, no cancellation of e-Tickets allowed.
Additional Simplified Procedure
There are two ways to book a ticket for Chandigarh Transport:
1. Visit the Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) website and click on the “Book Ticket Online” button.
2. Select the route you want to travel on and the date and time of your journey.
3. Enter your passenger information, including your name, contact number, and email address.
4. Select the number of tickets you want to book.
5. Pay for your tickets using a credit or debit card.
6. You will receive a confirmation email with your ticket details.
1. Visit the CTU ISBT (inter-state bus terminal) in Sector 17 or Sector 43.
2. Go to the ticket counter and tell the clerk the route you want to travel on and the date and time of your journey.
3. The clerk will give you a ticket and you can pay for it in cash or by credit or debit card.
CTU also has a mobile app called “CTU Musafir” where you can book tickets for long-route buses.
To book a ticket using the app:
1. Download the app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
2. Open the app and create an account.
3. Select the route you want to travel on and the date and time of your journey.
4. Enter your passenger information and select the number of tickets you want to book.
5. Pay for your tickets using a credit or debit card.
6. You will receive a confirmation message on your phone.
** Book your tickets in advance, especially if you are traveling during peak season.
** Be sure to validate your ticket before boarding the bus.
** If you are booking a ticket online or through the mobile app, be sure to print out your confirmation email or save it on your phone.
