Documents Required For Ex-Servicemen Housing Loan Subsidy Grant

Keep soft copy of the following Documents ready before applying for Housing loan Subsidy Grant:
** Loan Sanction Letter by bank authorities in pdf format, size not exceeding 2 MB
** Plan Approval for Construction of House in jpg,png format, size not exceeding 2 MB
** Permission to Construct House in pdf format, size not exceeding 2 MB
** An Affidavit from individual that he and his spouse are not Government Employee and this is the first house for him and his wife in pdf format, size not exceeding 2 MB

Important Instructions

** Applications are received in person from 10.30 A.M to 01:00 P.M and for enquiry between 3.00 P.M to 4.00 P.M on all working days.
** For ONLINE Application, the applicants will have to furnish all the details required in the website.
** If all the details are filled up, one computer generated Acknowledge Number will be assigned to that particular application. A print out of the application must be taken by the applicant and submit the same in District Ex-Servicemen Welfare Office.
** If the applicant does not handover the application to District Ex-Service Welfare Office within 30 days, the application will automatically be cancelled.
** As per rule the prescribed application form should be completed, signed and presented by the applicant himself / herself, to whom the documents belong, during the specified timings and he / she should be ready to give any clarification / produce relevant documents sought for by the Authenticating Officer at the time of submission.
** The applicant should enclose Photo Copies of required Certificates along with the application form.
** Status of the progress on applications will be available in Online. The individuals should come in person and collect their ID. This Department is not responsible for ID Card not collected from the concern District Ex-Service Welfare Office within a reasonable amount of time.
** Do not contact any outsiders to process your application. Contact only the staff of District Ex-Service Welfare Office for any information / clarifications.
** In case, fake certificates are presented, the fake certificates will be seized and action will be taken against all concerned under the appropriate law.

Additional Simplified Procedure

To apply for the Ex-Servicemen Housing Loan Subsidy Grant, you can follow these steps:

1. Download the application form.You can download the application form from the website of the Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB) or from the website of your state government’s ex-servicemen welfare department.

2. Fill out the application form. Be sure to fill out the application form completely and accurately. You will need to provide your personal information, your service information, and information about your housing loan.

3. Attach the required documents. You will need to attach the following documents to your application form:
** A copy of your Ex-Servicemen Identity Card (ESIC)
** A copy of your Discharge Book
** A copy of your loan sanction letter
** A copy of your plan approval for construction of house (if applicable)
** A copy of your permission to construct house (if applicable)
** An affidavit from you and your spouse stating that you are not government employees and that this is your first house

4. Submit your application form and documents. You can submit your application form and documents by mail or online. If you are submitting by mail, send your application to the following address:

Note:
If you are submitting online, you can do so by visiting the website of the KSB. Once you have submitted your application form and documents, your application will be processed by the KSB. If your application is approved, you will receive a payment from the KSB. The amount of the payment will be equal to 50% of the interest you have paid on your housing loan, up to a maximum of Rs. 1 lakh.

Eligibility criteria for the Ex-Servicemen Housing Loan Subsidy Grant:
** You must be an ex-serviceman or war widow/war bereaved/attributable peace time casualty.
** You must have taken a housing loan from a bank or other financial institution.
** The loan amount must be up to Rs. 10 lakh.
** The loan must be used to construct or purchase a house.
** You and your spouse must not be government employees.
** This must be your first house.

Note:
The Ex-Servicemen Housing Loan Subsidy Grant is a one-time grant. You can only receive the grant once.
