How to Register at Assam Employment Exchange?

All citizens of India above the age of 14 years who are permanent residents of Assam are eligible to register their names in Employment Exchanges of the State of Assam.

There are two ways how citizens may apply for registration in Employment Exchange:
1) Aadhaar-based: This is the preferred option. Citizens who possess an Aadhaar belonging to Assam may apply for registration in Employment Exchanges.

2) Non-Aadhaar Based: This is only applicable to those candidates whose Aadhaar is blocked due to NRC related issues. They are advised to approach their nearest Employment Exchange.

Below are the guidelines laid by the department for Aadhaar based and Non-Aadhaar based registration in Employment Exchange

For Aadhaar Based Registration

1. All citizens of India above the age of 14 years who are permanent residents of Assam are eligible to register their names in Employment Exchanges of the State of Assam.
2. Any applicant below age of 18 must have to submit an undertaking for parents/legal guardian’s consent regarding registration with Employment Exchange of Assam and sharing/processing of personal data thereof.
3. The candidates are eligible for Registration in one Employment Exchange only in the state, where they are permanent residents within the jurisdiction of the District.
4. Applicants who are already employed and seeking better employment have to be registered only after the production of a “No Objection Certificate” issued by the employer. It is applicable only for permanent and temporary central/state govt. employees.
5. All text box with an asterisk (*) symbol is mandatory to be filled up.
6. After successfully submitting the application Online Employment Exchange Card (X 10) will be issued to his/her registered Email.
7. Every registrant shall renew his /her registration once in three (3) years in the due month as indicated on his/her Registration card.
8. Failure to renew the registration even after the lapse of the grace period (3 months), will lead to cancellation of registration and subsequent removal from Live Register maintained in the Employment Exchange.
9. No request for renewal of registration after the expiry of the due month and grace period shall be entertained under any circumstances.

For Non-Aadhaar based Registration

1. All citizens of India above the age of 14 years who are permanent residents of Assam ,(as per Office memorandum no .E/P-344/41472 Dtd 05-07-1971) are eligible to Register their names in Employment Exchanges of the State of Assam.
2. Any applicant below age of 18 must have to submit an undertaking for parents/legal guardian’s consent regarding registration with Employment Exchange of Assam and sharing/processing of personal data thereof.
3. The candidates are eligible for Registration in one Employment Exchange only in the state, where they are permanent residents within the jurisdiction of the District.
4. Applicants who are already employed and seeking better employment have to be registered only after the production of a “No Objection Certificate” issued by the employer. It is applicable only for permanent and temporary central/state govt. employees.
5. Once a candidate has got registered online and completes the requisite information in the form, he/she will be issued an acknowledgment receipt informing about the stipulated date and time for physical verification of all original documents.
6. The candidate is required to visit the concerned Employment Exchange in person for verification of all original documents on the stipulated date and time.
7. All text box with asterisk(*) symbol is mandatory to be filled up.
8. After physical verification if documents and certificates are found in order, an Employment Exchange Card (X-10) will be issued. Applicant will receive an Employment Exchange Card through his/her Email.
9.Every registrant shall renew his /her registration once in three (3) years in the due month as indicated on his/her Registration card by either personally visiting the concerned Employment Exchange or online. A grace period of three (3) months is provided to the registrants.
10. Failure to renew the registration even after the lapse of the grace period, will lead to cancellation of registration and subsequent removal from the Live Register maintained in the Employment Exchange.
11. No request for renewal of registration after the expiry of the due month and grace period shall be entertained under any circumstances.

Additional Simplified Procedure

You have two options to register at the Assam Employment Exchange:

1. Aadhaar-based Registration (Preferred):
This is the faster and easier method if you have an Aadhaar card with a permanent address in Assam. Here’s how to do it:

Online:
** Visit the official Assam Employment Exchange Portal: https://employment.assam.gov.in/
** Click on “Registration” and choose “Register.”
** Enter your full name, email ID, mobile number, password, and select Assam as your state.
** Choose “Apply with Aadhaar” option.
** Fill in your personal and educational details.
** Select a date and time for document verification at your nearest Employment Exchange office.
** Visit the chosen office on the scheduled date with your original documents.
** Follow the instructions provided by the officials.
** You will receive your Employment Exchange Registration Certificate via email upon successful registration.

Offline:
** Visit your nearest Employment Exchange office.
** Collect the registration form and fill it out with your details.
** Submit the form along with the required documents (proof of age, address, educational qualifications, caste certificate if applicable, disability certificate if applicable).
** Your documents will be verified, and you will receive your Employment Exchange Registration Card.

2. Non-Aadhaar Based Registration:
This option is only for those whose Aadhaar cards are blocked due to NRC-related issues. Here’s what to do:

Offline:
** Visit your nearest Employment Exchange office.
** Explain your situation and request a non-Aadhaar based registration form.
** Fill out the form with your details and attach the required documents (proof of age, address, educational qualifications, caste certificate if applicable, disability certificate if applicable).
** The officials will guide you through the verification process and registration steps.
