Only thing you need to ensure is that you have PPN, and your caste and caste category are verified in FIDR, i.e. Parivar Pehchan database. And if you are applying for Backward Class or OBC certificate, then you should have your income verified too.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for issuing Caste Certificates along with the formats of Caste Certificates issued by the Citizen Resources Information Department are available on the website of Authority under ‘Publication’ tab.

Online Service for verification of Caste based on PPN:
Residents can get their caste verified in PPN by making a request on https://meraparivar.haryana.gov.in/ReportGrievance portal. Once the request for verification of caste category and/or caste is made by the resident on this portal, designated officers will verify and mark the same as verified in the FIDR for the resident.

Grievance Lodging:
If an applicant is not in agreement with his caste category/caste contained in the FIDR, then he/she may lodge his/her grievance for correction on the Grievance Module of the Parivar Pehchan Number portal https://meraparivar.haryana.gov.in/ReportGrievance .

Validity of a Caste Certificate

A Caste Certificate shall be valid for the life-time of the person so long as such caste/tribe is not removed or modified in the notifications issued by the Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Department, Haryana. Further, certificates which include income and/or assets-based information like creamy layer criteria shall be valid for the current financial year, i.e. till coming 31st March (included) from the date it has been issued.

There are two main ways to apply for a Caste Certificate in Haryana:

1. Online:

Here’s what you need to do:
** Ensure you have a Parivar Pehchan Number (PPN) and your caste and category are verified in the Family Identification Database (FIDR). You can check this on the Meraparivar portal: https://meraparivar.haryana.gov.in/
** If your caste information is not verified, use the Report Grievance option on the Meraparivar portal to initiate verification.
** Visit the Saral Haryana portal: https://saralharyana.gov.in/ and search for “Caste Certificate” or use the direct link: https://saralharyana.gov.in/viewServiceApplicationForm.do?serviceId=6870013&tempId=2176&templStatus=243&state=6&backButtonUrl=
** Select the type of certificate you need (SC, OBC, EBP, etc.) and fill out the application form.
** Upload any required documents (may vary depending on caste category).
** Pay the applicable fee online.
** Submit the application.
** You can track the application status online and download the issued certificate once it’s ready.

2. Offline:
1. You can visit your nearest SARAL Kendra or e-Disha center and apply in person.

2. Carry the following documents:
** Application form (available at the center)
** Proof of address (ration card, voter ID, etc.)
** Caste certificate of parents/guardian (if applicable)
** Income certificate (if applying for OBC certificate)
** Other documents as specified by the center

3. Submit the application form and documents along with the fee.
4. You will be informed about the collection date for your certificate.
