What is Assam Secretariat e-Pass?

As part of the 100-day Action Plan of the Government, the Secretariat Administration Department in collaboration with NIC, Assam State Unit, has developed a comprehensive e-Pass System for Assam Secretariat. After the introduction of this system, the manual system of issuance of visitor’s entry pass, car pass (temporary & permanent) and special entry pass were made online. The e-pass system has made entry into the Secretariat campus, a hassle free and transparent process for the public. Citizens can apply for online passes five days prior to their visit and the passes can be collected from the security gate itself.

Eligibility Criteria of Assam Secretariat e-Pass

Anybody with a valid ID proof and a mobile number can enter the Assam Secretariat Campus.

How To Apply For Assam Secretariat e-Pass?

A valid contact number should be provided by the individual in order to receive the entry gate pass number. No entrance fee is required.

The facility is not available on Tuesday and Saturday. Citizens can apply for online passes five days prior to their visit and the passes can be collected from the security gate itself. In case a person does not receive the entry gate pass number through an SMS alert, he/she can opt for offline issuance of pass.

Documents Required For Assam Secretariat e-Pass

Permanent Car Pass:
If vehicle is Govt. owned, the documents to be uploaded are:
1) Registration Certificate
2) Driver’s License
3) Car Pass of previous year (if availed)
4) Departmental ID Card of the Officer

If vehicle is Personal and not self driven, the documents to be uploaded are:
1) Registration Certificate
2) Driver’s License
3) Car Pass of previous year (if availed)
4) Departmental ID Card of the Officer or Photo ID Card

If vehicle is Personal and self driven, the documents to be uploaded are:
1) Registration Certificate
2) Car Pass of previous year (if availed)
4) Departmental ID Card of the Officer or Photo ID Card

If vehicle is hired, the documents to be uploaded are:
1) Registration Certificate
2) Driver’s License
3) Undertaking/Allotment Order of hired car
4) Departmental ID Card of the Officer or Photo ID Card

Temporary Entry Pass:
1) Recommendation from Secretary of concerned Department
2) Copy of Attachement Order/Work Order
3) Departmental ID Card or Voter ID Card,PAN Card, Driving Licence
