1. Applicant to fill the online form on the Single Window Portal and upload the following documents
** Copy of Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company.
** Brief details of proposal for setting up new enterprise or expansion of existing enterprise.
2. Applicant to make the necessary online payment and submit the form on the Single Window Portal
3. Applicant shall submit (by Speed Post) 4 copies of documents (mentioned below) relevant to their enterprise to the concerned TNEI office
** Site plan showing point of supply, H.T. installation routes of main (Over Head & Under Ground) & Topo plan.
** Plan and elevation of substation with clearance to nearby buildings or structures.
** PSchematic layout of the equipments.
** Sectional elevation of switch gears with erection details.
** Earthing arrangements.
** If the building height exceeds 15m, Details of planning permit and drawing approval obtained from the DTCP / CMDA Authority.
** If the installation is having Ground +3 floors and above, Elevation drawing indicating the total height of the building.
4. Applicant shall enter Speed Post details on the portal for the application to be tracked
5. TNEI Officer confirms receipt of hard copies by speed post
6. TNEI officer validates payment details and shall raise clarification on payment, if any
7. TNEI officer shall issue the Drawing Approval online on the Single Window portal
8. Applicant can download the Drawing Approval letter from the Single Window portal

** 630 – 2500 kVA – Senior Electrical Inspector
** Above 2500 kVA – Chief Electrical Inspector

How To Track TNEI Application Status?
1) After submitting the application, a unique ‘token ID’ would be generated. Using the ‘Token ID’ the Applicant can track the status of clearances by clicking on ‘Track your application’ option.’
2) Applicant to choose the name of the project created during CAF from the dropdown ‘Select project / CAF’ displayed at the top of the page.
Track your application– Overview Option:
By clicking on ‘Overview’ tab, Applicant can view the count of various clearance statuses as follows.
** Total Pending Clearances
** Total Approved Clearances
** Total Rejected Clearances
Track your application– ‘All Details’ Option:
By clicking on ‘All details’ tab, Applicant can view the following statuses of the list of clearances applied for the specified project.
** Applied on
** Last updated date
** Status of the application
** Lying with officer
** Pending days
** On time / Delayed Action
