What is DOSJE SCW Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana?

Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana aims to provide assisted living devices to those senior citizens who are, suffering from any of the age-related disability/infirmity. Such assisted living devices restores the near normalcy in their bodily functions, overcoming the disability/infirmity manifested such as low vision, hearing impairment, loss of teeth and loco-motor disabilities. For the senior citizens aged 80 years or more, the devices are provided at their doorsteps.

Eligibility of DOSJE SCW Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana

Senior citizens belonging to the BPL category and with monthly income not more than Rs. 15000/-.

Assisted Devices of DOSJE SCW Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana

Assisted living devices are provided to the senior citizens belonging to the BPL category and with monthly income not more than Rs. 15000/-. Some of the assisted living devices provided are Walking Sticks, Elbow Crutches, Walkers/ Crutches, Tripods/ Quadpods, Hearing Aids, Wheelchairs, Artificial Dentures, Spectacles, etc.

Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation (ALIMCO) is the sole implementing agency of the RVY. These devices are distributed in the camp mode. The beneficiaries are identified through Assessment Camps organised in collaboration with the respective State Government/District Administration.
